Hey guys I’m in the market for a new set of tires. I honestly don’t off-road and am just looking for the most comfortable and quiet ride, what’s the quietest tire that fits on a stock Tacoma(16inch rims)? Doesn’t matter if it’s a 31 or 32 just as long as it doesn’t rub or anything. Also price doesn’t really matter. I’m currently running Dynapro HT’s and it’s decent but I’m pretty sure there’s better options.

Michelin Ltx is a great choice and 265/75/16 is as big as you can go on stock suspension.

We have Michelin LTX on our fleet of work prickups and can confirm they are quiet and long wearing. Excellent in rain and reasonable in snow.

    UPDATED QUESTION:
For the people saying the Michelin LTX. Which one exactly? There’s the At/2 and then the defender model that has a bigger warranty but is M/S?I live in California so I hardly ever get rain. And you think the stock 245/75r16 or 265/70r16 would be more quiet and better looking?

At2 is more rugged for off-road. Stock size will have the quietest ride, the bigger tire of course will look better IMO.

These are great - super quiet, grippy in dry, wet, snow... and long lasting.

I do like the Michelin LTX tires for vehicles that don't need gnarly treads. They are quiet, and bulletproof, immune from road hazard and last a long time.

I have 60,000 miles on my M. LTX with almost no complaints. And the one complaint I do have is that I have another 30-40k miles before I get to choose a different tire.

I also run a little higher on the pressure for better fuel economy and the tires still ride great with 8psi higher than stock

I have the M/S....I ran through 2 sets of the stock Kevlar tires with no issues. I’ve had these on now for 15 k miles , maybe more. They are great, actually better in the snow and mud than the originals. I drive a lot...these are terrific all around for me....on the highway, around the farm in the mud, muck, etc, in the rain/snow. MANY folks told me I’d love them...goodness they were spot on.

At work I put lots of gravel miles on these Michelin tires with no issues. One nice thing is they don’t fling rocks like an all-terrains do. If they didn’t look like street tires, most people would get better results with these tires than the more fashionable knobby-looking choices.

This might be the one topic almost all of the 3rd gen section agrees on.

I loved my Revos. Quiet and sticky on the road, but still worked off road if needed

Michelin Defenders are in the future of my '19 DCLB but, at 30K miles, I can't easily justify pulling the Wranglers yet. The Wranglers have been just fine, BTW.

    ANOTHER QUESTION:
Has anybody heard of the Michelin X LT A/S? Went into my local Costco which is one of the only places that sells this tire. Dude said it was one of the most quiet and comfortable of the LT series tires and best for highway driving. Is it better or as good as the m/s version I can hardly find any videos or pics of people that have the A/S ones. The A/S one is also a bit cheaper and comes with the 70,000 mile warranty. I was looking at pictures and they look almost identical?
