    Finally FINISHED!!!! I'll still tweak the aiming of the headlights a little bit but everything else is done. :) Here are pictures with some descriptions. :)

    Lights on with ignition. I used an add a fuse and exchanged out the IGN fuse in the dash as my "ignition activated 12V power" then ran a wire thru the grommet to the engine bay. Kind of a pain in the ass.

    Uncles of Apollo 3.0 Shroud with the XSB Switchback LED it's 110mm, which is a little bigger than recommended but as you can see, there's no issues.These turn on with ignition.

    The Halos with the "switchback function enabled" for a turn signal. Only problem is when you tap the blinker wire (yellow and blue) you can't use your regular DTRL switch on your steering wheel because it will cause the amber LED lights to be on continuously which TRS says is a no no.

    They are very bright!!! I like them a lot.

    You know the little knob that you turn on the left hand side to turn on the lights. The first step is the DTRL then I guess it's parking lights then it's low beams.

    Maybe its a 2014 thing? I do notice some newer models can turn on and off their dtrl. My dtrl is always on, even if my parking light is off. So that means no go for my switchback function? :(

    Mmmmmm.........I dunno....I have three wires coming to my DTRL/Blinker lamp a White with black strip, a green and a yellow. The yellow changes to blue on the passenger side. The Yellow LED can't be left on full time, or it will get burned out. There are instructions on TRS's website, here's the link that will explain how you can wire them.

    I'm half thinking about changing it myself I just don't want to jump into anything until I know it's what I'm going to stick with since it involves cutting a wire on the little harness that comes with it.

    The other thing I tried to do but failed was using a 5 prong relay to make it go off with the low/high beams. I need to revisit it when I have more patience lol I worked on it for hours today and when it didn't work, I said, screw this.......

    You can always cut it away from the regulator in case you do want to go back, you can just solder it back.

    For a 5 pin relay: you'll have pin 87a going to positive on halos, pin 86 to low beam positive, pin 85 is negative, pin 30 is ignition power, and 87 you leave blank.

    Hrmmmmmm......I had Ignition going to 30 pin and the Halos going to 87a.....I thought the power had to go to 30 which was linked to 87a....did I mess something up. I also had Diodes soldered to the low/high beams then soldered to one wire so that the halo's wouldn't go back on with the high beams. I have all the wiring down I just need to go back and check the connections and that power is going thru it, etc. :/ after literally spending 3 days doing stuff to these headlights I just needed a break. :)

    You're right and I'm wrong :eek: pin 30 is ignition. I need to look into it also, I didnt know about the diode part and it does make sense. Where did you solder it exactly? Retrofitting takes time but will be worth it in the end!

    I used the existing H4 bulb harness on the passenger side which is not used any longer and some spade connectors to connect to the low and high beam slots. Then ran some wire, soldered a diode to each line then soldered them together and ran them down to the relay. I'll have to take photos. I used a bunch of Male/Female connectors just incase I screwed up the Diode lol. I didn't want to accidentally solder it in the wrong way then go ohh shit, I suck and have to redo it. When I get a chance I need to check that there is voltage coming all the way past the diode and then all the way down the wire, etc. I may also need to change my ground, etc.

    Ha.....you need help.....I need help !!! Your relay at least worked, mine didn't. Though i'm happy to try to help in whatever way I can. I think I just tried to get too fancy/missed some simple step. I saw that TRS has Male H4 adapters with "pig tails" which is exactly what I've been looking for, they had Female H4 Adapters with a nice rubber seal and then three wires I got so damn excited then when I got home and realized unless my truck had recently become a lesbian two female plugs weren't going to fit....grrrrrr. I will need to go pick some up this coming up week/weekend. Then I'll go thru and try it again since all the wiring is up there. The only real question I have is on the Diode, it was a 3amp/50V Diode/Rectifier. It was the closest thing to the 5amp/50V that was mentioned in another thread to use and it was the highest amp Diode I could find at RadioShack. I wonder if I somehow have screwed up with the choice of Diode and thats what the problem was.

    Hrmmmmm........Isn't there a modification that you can do to the 2012's to allow you to turn on and off the DTRL's? I'm going to have to replace my control module, the highbeam issue is still present.....I hate that the high beams will come on for a second then everything turns off. Definitely not the fuse.
