I've been cruising FB marketplace and figured I would check here too.
I'm looking for a set of the 3rd gen Tacoma offroad wheels no tires would be preferred but will buy with. I live in Eastern Montana but make it to Billings and Bozeman often.

I need to do the ECGS bushing on my Tacoma. Can anyone recommend a shop to work on a 2nd-gen?

Billings or Bozeman would be ideal, but I would be willing to travel further for a good shop that has done one of these bushings before.

    Thanks!

Dark Horse Customs or Mike's Offroad (Freedom Four Wheel) would be my recommendations over there. Both are in Bozeman.

Me (‘19 limited t4r) and a friend (‘10 Lexus LX 570) and are both interested in getting tuned...we’ll be in the area...how do we contact the Big Turtle to get on the schedule?
    Thanks...Ric
Btw: spending a week in the area to check out a few ranch properties we’ve been tracking...would enjoy meeting up and picking some local brains...lunch on me ;-)

Make sure to call first thing this morning, I've heard he's almost sold out. I'll be around the tune if you want to BS about the area.

Talked with them this morning and unfortunately they can't do the LX and as he's a paying student I'd feel a bit strange only getting mine tuned while on his dime...oh well...I'll catch up with them eventually as he's going to send me a "tuner map" and hopefully we'll cross paths soon...

Landed in Gardiner just now after a very interesting 2 day dash from the seattle area...snow, WIND, slush and ice...runner did great with the Michelin defenders...sailed through areas where big rigs were starting to chain up...lived in S4 from mid Idaho on through...was surprised to see 19.6 at the end...color me happy ;-)

wanted to celebrate my b’day tommorow by having lunch in Cooke City for some weird reason and the storm hopefully won’t stop me...if anyone has any tips or wants to go play/photograph give me a shout I’ll be heading out around 8am...Ric

My buddy and I have a trip planned to the Wyoming and Montana area the beginning of July for a couple of weeks. Look forward to seeing/camping the area. Thought I'd drop in and say hello!

Any tips other than visiting obviously the well known Glacier area? We went to Colorado, Utah, AZ area a few years back camping and exploring. Always looking for the roads less traveled.

do you have reservations for Glacier? because if not you're screwed. you need a pass to drive the roads and/or camp. most passes are already taken and a limited number will be available closer to each date of entry

Thanks for the comment. For our dates, we have to get them on March 1st. Already have it set to remind us to sign on. Any other tips we should know?

Glacier is hardcore middle of nowhere. Bring food and provisions with you from the South. Browning is kind of close, but the food pickings are slim and expensive.

You can’t visit MT/WY without going to Yellowstone. Cody, WY runs a rodeo over the summer. Ironically the day I rolled through, it was raining, so can’t speak to how it is. But sounds like a cool experience.

Let others chime in. I’m far from an expert on the region.
