I put the quick struts in my truck - they are OK. Can't say they felt much better than my OEM with 170k on them. I regret buying them instead of saving for another month and getting bilstein 5100's or something.

Monroe shocks are garbage I would not even want those for free. If you want OEM equivalent struts get KYB struts.

I don’t think much of them. This was the rear’s on my Gen 1. First one broke about two miles back in the bush and before I could limp out the second one broke in the same spot. Less than 500 miles on them.
Put my old ones back on to get by till my OEM replacements came in.
They might be fine for cars but I would never put another set on a truck.

    Disclaimer old news...
In college I worked for advance auto....in the early 2000s monroe were garbage. Maybe someone has newer info, but until I stopped working at advance in 2005ish I can say they came back more often than making customers happy. Most of our commercial accounts would not buy them.

I have Monroe shocks. They seem the same as OEM, only have about 20,000 miles on them though. That said, I didn’t replace my originals until 190,000 miles. I guess time will tell...

I had some rear ones on my 99 for about 17k and they were clearly worn (not quite done yet, but close). Don't get me wrong they were better than the utterly destroyed OEM's that the truck had when I bought it, but they didn't last for anything.

I put kyb's in about 120k ago. They cost more that a set of 5100s from hs off-road do now. 5100s for me next.

Monroe was great back in the 80s when they were yellow in color, nothing but cheap China junk now.
