I cant remember where I saw it one of the FB groups or forum. But I saw a picture of an opening in the extrusion bars to make it easier to insert t-slot nuts or carriage bolts without having to un bolt the extrusion bar on one side. Does any one have a link to the bars or a link to a video on how to modify my existing bars? I would like the ability to take off equipment because we have had some thefts around my area and I would like to change up the way stuff is set up depending on what I am doing with the truck. 2x1 aluminum extrusion bars

On my Prinsu roof rack and the few extra Prinsu extrusion bars I have, one side looks like that, but the other side has two offset openings on either end for installing stuff in the T-slots.

Have you flipped the bars over to check and make sure they aren't upside down? If they don't, maybe they are a different brand than mine.

(Not my picture, but you can see the slots I'm talking about here)

I believe Prinsu added the openings relatively recently. Originally, they didn't have them.

You could make the openings with a Dremel grinder. They might not look quite as neat as the factory ones.
