Modify 05-11 Weathertech Front Mats to fit 12-15

So here is an idea for those who are shopping around for used weathertech floor mats and they own a 2012-2015 Tacoma but just can't find the newer sets. There seems to be plenty of 2005-2011 sets going for sale lately(as I have been finding in my area)

I found a like new used set from a 2011 and made them work in the front of my truck. Got them for a killer deal too with the rear mat. Can't say no to 50 bucks.

I used the retainer clips from my OEM mats and put them on the weather-techs. Worked out awesome; put some sealant in the rear of the clips so they don't leak out the back and it's all good.

 

@htuner, any idea how the rears fit? Any mods needed?

 

Rears are the same for all 2005-2015. Fits great, no mods needed
