    Mobtown Sliders
Hello tacoma world. Just wanted to share my experience with installing @Mobtown Offroad sliders on my 2017 dcsb pro. Did my homework on here and decided to go with mobtown sliders with there blackfriday special and great reveiws. Instructions were ok, but when you had them up on the frame ,you could see how they bolted up. Very beefy indeed and we'll engineered . Like the box clamp. Took a few hours with the help of my son. Designed to take that offroad abuse. Everything lined up perfect. Was a fun project. From shipping to the fit and finish everything was great . Gotta get the skids now. Here some pics before they get scratched.20180423_110836.jpg 20180423_110815.jpg

    Gotta Agree,
I installed MobTown sliders about 2 months ago on my 2017 TRD OR and they can really take some abuse. Just added their front skid plate as well as bed rails to support my RTT. Great outfit to work with.

Stupid question - why are they called sliders?

Because they allow you to slide along rocks and obstacles upon impact purposely without obstruction. That's why "sliders" are almost always tight to the lower body work and offer streamlined and rounded features to allow this to happen.

Those are some nice sliders. How much did they end up costing?

Jumped on the black friday sale @Mobtown Offroad was having (25% off ). Certain options will effect the final cost ,kickoff, powder coating etc. I went with 2016 + bolt on sliders with kick out and powder coating. Being in the northeast it wasn't bad for shipping. Cost was around $800. Definitely check out their website. Time to get them dirty.

    Looks sweet!

I just painted mine a few hours ago, should be putting them on this weekend. Glad I went with Mobtown!

Any tips or lessons learned to pass on? or were these straight forward from the instructions?

I would say follow the step by step instruction With minor tweaks.Once the slider is up on the frame, you can see how it all comes together. The top plate for the box clamp put the 2 bolts in first then on top of the frame. Having a floor jack and a helper was a plus. Driver side took a lil while, passenger was half the time. No real hiccups. Take your time. These are the real deal.

Cool man, looks great. I got mine professionally installed because of the weight and lack of helper.

Put my sliders through some knarly off road trails on English Mountain in Tenn today. Got some pretty good scratches from the rocks. But isn’t that what they are made for.

I set mine on a milk-crate and just slid it right under the truck while tilting the slider up so the rear area where the clamps go cleared the frame.

Perfect height and nice and stable, made for an easy-peasy install. No effort doing it myself.

All the holes lines up perfectly and boy are these things built tough.

Put mine in yesterday. Wish I chose the power coating option for $150. They charged me $350 locally. It decided to rain when I was driving over and they got soaked so they said they had to sandblast them. I don't know any better so I went with it.

I have several of the square 'washers' left over though. Not sure where to put them. I think I used two on each side, but there were like eight included.
