    Hello,

I just wanted to gather opinions about my idea to build mobile shower/toilet cabin(for one) with hot water and air heating on top of small utility trailer(52-1/2 wide) on 12inch wheels. It's very narrow and has small clearance under the axle. So, I'm thinking of using it on the public lands camps and don't use it on the offroad trails(unhook on the camp). But the main question is how it will work on forest roads? I'm trying to recollect all my travel trips(Moab, Yellowstone, Death Valley, Grand Canyon, Joshua Tree, Mammoth Lake, etc.) and what I remember is all routes to the camp were pretty flat gravel roads without deep wheel tracks. My biggest concern is inclination of the trailer during the ride on forest/desert road with some deep wheel tracks because it's narrow and will be trying to ride in one wheel track.

Boats do shitter/shower in one, with a vacuum flush system rather than gravity feed. If this is actually serious, I'd start looking there. But really? A shitter trailer? Dig a hole like everybody else

Nature's Head composting toilet is a good choice. You'll just need to store the toilet paper, wet wipes, and pads separately. The fan dries your shit out which removes the stink over the course of a day. Within the toilet cabin, because the fan is sucking air out from the toilet hole, it won't stink (unless you're outside). Just watch the f*** out when you remove the pee bottle because it might stink something heavy if someone's been eating asparagus, or you might overflow and spill it all over the place. Pretty simple, just piss somewhere else and shit in the can.

I hear that.. Im a plumber and HVAC guy..this kind of stuff really interested me. Sounds like “off the grid” kinda project. Are you camping with water/electric hook ups? Or filling tank, and running generator

I'm using public lands(BLM), National Forests and regular campgrounds without hookups. I have solar shower on Tacoma cabin roof(ABS pipes glued to the shape of Cyrillic letter "Ш") and this is not a good solution for high altitude/winter season. So, thinking about LP water heater and separate tank. But I have big problem. I can put tank in the cargo area under the shell(some plastic rectangular one) and it eats the space. Or I can put circle one on the spare tire location under the bed. But for second case I need steel bumper with tire rack on a swing arm(where I can put water heater and relocate my LP tank from cargo area). I see so many advantages for second case. But if I go with steel bumper I want high clearance one(if anyway change the bumper why not HC?), but there are no HC bumper with BSM support. So, I'm stuck a little and trying to find other solutions. Plan C is to utilize two areas in rear wheel wells, but it's tight.
