    Hey Folks,
Anyone using Mint Mobile? If so, any reviews or guidance?

I’m getting sick of being screwed monthly by Verizon..

    TIA :hattip:

I have no direct feedback but,
I have a coworker using USmobile
    He loves it
    They use verizon towers
I was thinking of switching, prices are very reasonable.
You can do a 10 day trial before you decide

It's the one advertised every hour on most stations I've seen. Owned and hawked by Ryan Reynolds. $30 a month for 'premium' cellular service.

FWIW we use consumer cellular and it’s great, plus the folks there are in the USA and speak English.

I had mint mobile over a year... Pretty crappy in rural areas, probably lack of nearby towers? I switched to Boost, okay so far.

USmobile should be the cheapest service??

Going on year 3 with them. I prepay for for the year and its $360 (Unlimited Data, unlimited everything). It all depends on the area you live in. Use the TMO coverage maps. In the San Francisco Bay Area, I have had zero issues.

I'm dumping my Pixel 5 and switching over to iPhone 14 Pro Max which only takes an esim. Going to be interesting to see if Mint has issues with swapping me to esim.

T mobile old people's plan here. 2 lines $60/month (total bill) with autopay. All you can eat in US, Canada, Mexico.

Most rest of the world data and text are also included and voice is 25/min if you don't pick up an international plan.

I docu signed papers for sale of my home sitting on an airport in China.

Wish I could help with Mint, but I've no reason to consider it that I've seen so far.....

Haven’t tried Mint but I’ve used Cricket, Net 10 and Google Fi in the past with mostly no issues. The issues were just based on where I lived and tower placement for the companies the various brands contract with.

I just went with this deal and have been very happy with phone and service so far.

I haven't been too far off grid yet, but I've been to my local state park and other areas not super close to cell towers and didn't notice any loss of signal or call quality. But YMMV depending on where you live. I'd happily recommend this service though.

Since I own my phone, I use Verizon prepaid. If you auto draft you get a $5 discount and another $10 discount after 3 months. I'm paying $35/month for 15GB. You can get unlimited for $50 with those same discounts. And Verizon works the best where I live.

I've been using Mint for about a couple years now. Good company with fair rates. They "piggyback" on T-Mobile.
I always have around -90 dBm, which is much better than AT&T or Verizon here. Your mileage may vary.
You can't go wrong with Ryan Reynolds, lol. :)

Currently in the 7 day "free trial" with Mint. Haven't been able to get group or media messages to work on my galaxy s7. There are instructions on how to set up the phone for Mint, but my phone won't accept the settings they say to use.
Signal is worse - verizon works in my basement, Mint doesn't.
We'll see if it works any better in my wife's phone in the next day or two.

When I went to the Pixel 5, I ran into APN issues with Mint. I shouldn’t have but I did. In the end I just deleted the APN they wanted me to run and rebooted the phone. It populated a T-MOBILE APN and I left it at that. I gave it 24 hours and it was fine the following day. Hope it works out.

I just switched to the iPhone 14 Pro Max and was truly expecting a nightmare with this whole eSim thing. Activation went smoothly and was quick. Up and running and no issues with messaging at all. Really surprised.

This was very good until I switched to another plan due to not getting the presidental text back then. Then I went to mint mobile for lower costs, meh... Not worth it if in rural capacity.

Everything worked fine in my wife's S10, including coverage. Guess if we decide to switch I'll get a newer phone.

As a Canadian it makes me sick you can use your phone in three countries for less than half the price I can use my own phone here. Ha.
