Not talking open area inside garage but actual (garage door) entry measurement to fit 2024 Tacoma in along with another car say "72" wide. And not talking two garage doors but just one large one.

Current garage door 191 inches or 15' 9 inches.

    So Tacoma 75" wide
    Second car 72" wide

The "math" says it fits but really tight. Wonder if folding mirrors ever wear out opening and closing?

Yes, anything with moving parts can break. Things without moving parts can also break. Could be on day 1. Could be on day 1096. Could be never. If concerned then get an extended warranty or self insure.

You’ll need to account for parking about 36” from the wall to be able to get the Tacoma wall-side doors fully open. Maybe a few inches less if you (or your passenger can live with getting in an out without being fully open). I just measured that on my 3rd gen to account for a tight fit in my own garage. It requires me to pull in just slightly toward the middle as opposed to barely clearing the garage door side.
I don’t keep a second car in my garage but I’d plan on the same 36ish” between cars to avoid door dings too.

Once inside garage there is approx., 46 inches for outer vehicle doors to open towards garage walls. So not problem there. But due to limited entry space into garage, I'm probably looking at 32" in between Tacoma and second car. That's not ideal but backing Tacoma in so driver's side door opens towards garage wall also isn't ideal. Pick you poison. Ugh

I am pretty sure that engineering guy Sheldon said the open door width of the 4th Gen is exactly the same as the 3rd Gen.

Well I just don't want to fall into the "buyer category" of "whoops my new toy won't fit in my garage". Door width is key factor but you also have extended fenders and side mirrors. To be on the safe side when I test drive new Tacoma (if priced right) I might just find a dealership close to home and see if Taco fits in my garage with other car. Measuring and estimating two cars parked together is one thing, but actually parking a test drive Taco in my garage tells all.

    Standard 2 car garage door is 16' x 7'.

I fit my 2023 Tundra in my garage along with my 2005 Mustang. It's tight but it works. (I do retract the power mirrors to get in the door, disclosure)

Since the Taco is more narrow you should be fine.
