I got a set for Christmas and freaking love them. So easy to read instead of my HF sockets.

How does the battery return hack work when you buy the tool + free battery combo?

 

You just return what you don't want.

Your receipt will state a refund value - only applicable if the battery has a separate SKU from that of the item meaning separate boxes.

 

The mid torque impact wrench is on a decent combo deal right now with two 6ah batteries and charger.

 

I was tempted to get the batteries

 

This is going to work out either way. I keep the battery at the discounted price (I have 2 already) or I get the refund. Separate SKUs. These 2.5's don't hold a charge for very long so I could use the refund for a better M12 battery. Or keep the 2.5s charged and in rotation. I do like the small size of the 2.5s.

 

I mainly find them useful for when I need to get a ratchet in a tight spot
