That is impressive. That’s a lot of time spend in that truck.

Wow. I’ve always wondered about doing hotshot in something other than an HD truck.

Kind of makes me want one even though I don't like the styling and they have horrible gas mileage.

lol yeah I’m not a fan of the design of the new tundra or Tacoma. I just watched this video and the front of the truck has to be one of the ugliest vehicles I’ve ever seen…

that video put me off from the tacoma. the price tag???? $54k for a tacoma? ummmm.....tacomas were always basic trucks that were sort of cheap new. but $54k????

and it does look ugly. the proportions seem off.

    OME and worth every penny.
It's unlikely that your starter evers breaks if you never turn your truck off. JS.

Yeah I mean granted it was back in Dec. 2020 but I bought my 2021 4x4 SR5 for $32K brand new.

The prices they want for these new trucks make them unattainable for the average middle class guy. It’s a shame.

The 2023 Tundra gets better gas mileage than the the 2023 Tacoma. The older Tundra with the 5.7 gets 2-3 mpg worse than Tacoma and about 1 mpg worse than Ford/Chevy/Ram. But the money you save by not replacing worn out parts more than pays for the extra gas compared to Ford/Chevy/Ram

That's relative. In 1985 you could get a basic F150 4X4 with a manual and 6 cyl engine for $10,000. A typical crew cab 1/2 ton 4X4 truck today is going to run about $50,000. BUT.... the average income today is about 4X what it was in 1985. AND the new truck is much better equipped, gets much better fuel mileage and will last a lot longer. If you could find a new regular cab 4x4 basic truck it wouldn't be out of line price wise when you consider cost relative to income. But they just don't make those trucks anymore.

A few months ago some of the prices truly were crazy with guys paying $10K to $15K OVER sticker and interest rates were approaching 10%. Most of them now can be had for 10% below sticker with 2%-4% rates on loans. 10 years ago 20% off sticker was the norm and often with 0-2% interest.

Idk about that. Best MPG I've seen from the new Tundra is around 21 MPG. I'll regularly get above that in the summer in my Tacoma.

To be fair, that price is for a Limited, I believe. But definitely still overpriced. Especially when the other brands are cheaper.
