Hello, I recently bought a 21 limited and want to remove some of the chrome. The problem I've come across is color matching the parts I want, specifically the mirror caps. My truck is midnight black but I only see attitude black. They seem to be the same color code from toyota but people say there not quite the same shade. Any opinions or suggestions would be appreciated.

Here are paint codes for a few model years from https://drcolorchip.com/ . You can see that the black color codes have changed over the years.

Funny that Super White had a name change and is still the same.

Black is one of the easiest colors to blend, often times it doesn't even need to be blended, and its also one of the hardest colors to tell shade difference on. They are the same color, as long as it's the 218 color code I wouldn't pay much attention to the name.

So would it be safe to assume that midnight black and attitude black are the same color?

My mirror caps came in today and they matched up perfectly. I also installed a pair of smoked out sequential turn signals as well and they look excellent.

Not to reignite an old thread. I’m in the same boat and need a new mirror cap for my 2020 TRD PRO in midnight black. Just to confirm, you ordered the “attitude black” and those matched up perfectly?
