    Would love to know too, and specifically, I'd love to see how people are mounting these. I'd love something that comes with a suction cup and wasn't necessarily permanent. I don't know if I'd want this on display for the whole world to see every time I park it in the city.

    Midland isn’t popular in the ham world. They make good commercial stuff but not at that price point. Honestly, I’m partial to Kenwood or Icom for 2M rigs. For stealthier operation, a remote mount unit is the way to go. The faceplate is removable and can be mounted anywhere (stored too). An NMO antenna mount in the roof or mag mount and you’d hide the antenna too.
