Debating on new tires for my truck. I have toyo open country at2 now. Good tires but they are getting old, about 3 years old or so. Has anyone used these Degan series tires?

Did you end up getting these tires? I to have toyo at2 right now but I'm getting ready to move up to 265 75s and these tires can be had for $137 a tire and $100 rebate in a set if 4. Seems like a great deal, if you have them how have they treated you?

No, I have did not get them. Still have tread left on my toyos, figured that for the price and design that someone here was bound to have them. Will probably be the tire I get after I lift my truck though. Where did you find that deal?

Tirebuyer.com and mickey Thompson has the $100 rebate on a set of 4 right now. I ordered mine this week, hopefully get them installed this weekend. For the price I figure why not, I was considering the Falkens but I like to buy made in USA tires so I didn't go that route. I would of went with the Toyo at2 again but my only complaint with them is they seemed pretty soft 3 of my 4 right now are patched or plugged. Figure try something else out.

Well they arrived this morning and I was able to get them mounted and balanced. I will swap them onto the taco this evening once the wife is home from work. They look good, pretty happy with them so far20171025_122404.jpg 20171025_122814.jpg , see how they ride tonight.

Well got them on the truck last night and have logged some miles now and first impressions are good. They drive really nice, actually quieter then my at2's I had. I will update as I log more miles on them and get them into other conditions like rain and snow.

Good to hear. The tread on those looked like they would clear out well and them being quite compared to the at2's is nice, not that at2's are too loud or anything.

Yeah the at2's were not overly loud but they had some noise to them over the stock tires, I was surprised these were quieter so far.

I was looking at the Falkens, too, but read that 119 page thread and seemed to be quite a few complaints about various issues. The most recent posts seem positive, but it got me looking at other options.

I came across the Deegans the other night. They look nice and seem priced reasonably.

Any more feedback on how they ride? I realize you've only had them a short while.

Anyone else try the Deegans or have feedback on MT tires in general...Don't know much about the company...

So far they are riding great, have a week of commuting on them and am very impressed. They roll really smoothly and are fairly quiet, haven't had them in the rain yet but will update when I do.

MT tires have been around a long time, American made is what made me choose these over the Falkens. I personally just like to buy American made tires, luckily we can still find truck tires made here am I having a heck of a time sourcing USA made trailer tires!

Thanks for the feedback, Alloutdrs1. Looking forward to hearing how they do when it rains. Nice that they are American made...Wonder where the Falkens are made...

Leaning strongly toward the MTs...especially since they have a $100 rebate through RealTruck.com until Nov. 15...

    I'm looking at upsizing from 215 75R15 to 235 75R15 or 235 70R16...

Can anyone offer feedback on which would be better on an '07 2.7L AC 2wd? Tires are pretty much the same size...so it looks like the rim / sidewall size would be the main difference. Also, the 15s are 9" wide and the 16s are 10" wide...

Thought I read somewhere that higher sidewalls provide a more comfortable ride, but don't know the pros/cons of each. Easier to find aftermarket rims in 16"? Just looking for some inexpensive ones that don't attract attention in Baja...:mudding:

Well just updating, two days of rain here so I can finally comment on that. The Deegan's are very sure footed, cut through the larger puddles with ease and I have not been able to spin them. I could always spin my at2 with aggressive accel in wet weather even when new and that only got worse as they aged. Still very happy so far.

Thanks for the update, Alloutdrs1. Glad to hear they are working well for you.

I'm still on the fence between the Deegans and the Falkens Wildpeaks, with BFG KO2s in third...Decisions, decisions.

I am looking into buying the MT tires that you had a few years ago on your truck. I am having a really bad problem with my tires currently hydroplaning very bad. They are low profile tires and I am wondering if you ever had any slippage problems or hydroplaning problems with the Mickey Thompson?
