I bought a set but won’t be able to test them till next month. The price was right and they look great. Just gotta get my lift and bumper installed.

If they don't fit at stock height, they won't fit at lifted height (assuming you go offroad and flex your suspension). Bolt em on and cut/mold/chop where they rub, you will have to do the same with a lift.

Please don’t come at me like a toddler. Sure there may be some minor trimming required but to say it’s the same is just not correct. This isn’t my first ever lifted vehicle…

Why in the world is this not posted on the main page yet?! Bigger tires require cutting. Unless you want to go with a drop brackets lift or always be on the bump- stops, you're gonna have to cut.t

It's called "advice". First lifted Tacoma, or first lifted vehicle. These are not the same thing.

Didn’t really come off as friendly advice, but my whole point was the truck is not road worthy. I bought it before it went to the scrapyard and have been in the process of de-tweakerizing. It’s close but now I’m waiting on time to get the lift and wheels/tires installed, and my front bumper to to arrive as it has no bumper (the one that was on it was bent too badly to reuse after I had the frame horns fixed). Also needs a CV axle. I never said I wouldn’t have to do some trimming, but I took that comment as “your an idiot”. I’m just waiting to get it all done at once at my friends shop.

My apologies for my "advice" coming across that way, it certainly wasn't intended. I was merely trying to point out that as soon as you flex your suspension your lift is moot. Good luck with your build and I'm sure those Mickeys will be great. I have thoroughly enjoyed mine

I think many times when someone responds is to make sure that others will have accurate info when searching topics. This is a daily topic where someone puts on larger tires, think they "fit", and find out when they back up with the wheel turned or go off road, they discover rubbing on cab mount, fender liner, pinch seem...
Anyhow, hope the tires work out.

That’s fair then, no worries! So you have the EXP’s? How many miles or off road use have they seen? I’m hoping I don’t regret them as I really wanted something a little more aggressive (Toyo open country R/Ts) but I couldn’t beat the price I got on the Mickeys.

I have recently got the MT Baja Legends. I'm still working on fitting them though. I'm definitely going to need a cab mount chop and some plastic cutting. You can see the size difference vs what I did have. The old tires are a 265 75 16 Toyo open country AT3. These are a 285 75 16.

I looked at these and almost pulled the trigger on them. They run a tad bigger on the 275/70/17. They come in at 32.5 which is great because it’s more tread depth. I believe the depth is 18.5/32 which is super deep for that size. These tires will last over 60k on a taco easily, unless they’re really abused.

I have the Mickey Thompson Baja atz p3. They make great tires and I will get another set of mickeys when it’s time. They are owned by cooper and are considered their premium line so pretty much can’t go wrong.

I know it's not all about looks but I wish I could find more pics of these tires on a Taco. It took me forever just to find this..

They look pretty aggressive. Also there is an orange tacoma on here somewhere with these tires and method wheels. He and I talked a while back . Check the Washington state threads
