After looking at the Tire Rack comparisons I almost didn't buy these tires for fear that they lacked wet grip.
I just wanted to pop in here and say that there is no need to worry about the Tacoma being pushy in the rain with the Baja Boss tires like the Tire Rack test suggests. I tested mine in the rain yesterday and didn't have any trouble with understeer. With enough effort, I was also able to induce oversteer. The tires have tons of wet traction, more than I will ever need for spirited driving in the rain, and I do like to drive with spirit. No you still wont be railing corners like a sports car but you probably already knew that.

I have about 5,000 miles on mine. I've have had duratracs, wildpeaks and toyos. I would say these are my new favorite tire.

When you say spirited driving in the rain would that inclued 80mph in 4hi? Not that its the thing to do, just wondering what your definition of spirited includes.

The Baja Boss is a good looking tire.

Maybe 80mph in 2hi. If I need 4wheel drive I wont be going 80mph, except maybe in the desert, and then only with a rabbit prerunning the route. Can the Tacoma even go 80mph in 4 hi?
When I say spirited I mean faster than traffic, but not reckless.
I was above the speed limit, in the rain on the freeway, without any of the disconnected vagueness that the stock tires had or the KO2s on my Jeep Wrangler. The rain was just hard enough for low speed windshield wipers.

Size, load rating, payload and psi?
I think those factors can have a favorable or unfavorable effect on the performance of the tire; especially when folks can be all over the map with most of them.
BTW, loving my 265/75/16/116 Boss A/Ts, @ 27 psi, @ 500 lbs above curb weight...;)
I've been shit-scared of pushing them in the rain due to milking out my old KO2s. I think it's fair to say, most of us have heard or know, how they get in the rain; especially when they're old and worn.
