Hey All, I know there is a large thread on these and I also know the 265/75r16
Should fit… key words “should fit”

    2 questions..

    1. Checking out reviews on line for the Baja boss at’s. They are all a year old, nothing current especially how they handle snow…. Any information would be great

    2. Since they should fit… but there are small differences from manufacturer to manufacturer in that size that can cause rubbing etc…. looking for confirmation.

If you have them on a stock pro and on the pro wheels…. would like to hear from you ..

    Thanks

We had a set in the shop a few weeks ago.

They look great, but did very poor on the snow, ice cold wet. Also a little loud.

I'd only go for it if you plan on offroading. For a daily there's better choices. Especially at their price point.

on 16" wheels, yes, they should. your offset would likely become a key factor. 265/75/16 is roughly a 32". i went with 265/70/17 which is essentially the same thing. my offset was 0 and experienced no rubbing on stock 2020 trd sport suspension.

I have a set. They fit just fine. And you gotta rotate them often.

I have 42,000 miles on mine. They do alright in rain. I live in the tropics so I can't tell you how they do in snow.

I imagine they would not, looking at the tread pattern. I rotate pretty often and they still be loud.

Do they have the 3 peak snow designation? If not, dont expect good snow performance

If you want on road winter performance, get winter tires... They accomplish traction through softer compound, lots of biting edges in the form of lots of zigzag zag siping and smaller tread gaps for more of the above on the driving surface. In general most 'aggressive' looking all-terrains aren't going to accel at this... Look at their design; not much they have in common with what I just mentioned in a winter tire. The all-terrains that do tend to accel at winter are not as 'aggressive' looking and do have more in common with winter tires; Cooper AT34S, Yokohama G015, Nokian Oupost APT, etc.

I know I am trying to find the jack of all trades here … a set that can do everything a little better than the KO2’s

was thinking about a dedicated winter set but the actual need is not there.

was hoping the Baja boss would be it, the other ones in the running are the wildpeaks and the Toyo open country’s.

as e6400ultra wrote the offset on the Trd pro wheels is +13. Need to figure out if the 265/75r16 are going to be an issue … need to research

They are snowflake rated, but like any aggressive AT a dedicated snow tire will always be better.

Fine have been ok on ice but great aired down in the deep stuff. They barely cleared my mud flaps at stock height but I never got any rubbing off-road included.

I’ve been looking for the same thing. I’ve been doing a lot of research on the Cooper Discoverer XLTs. They seem to fit the bill. A lot of really good reviews. Not ideal for rock crawling or anything super serious obviously, but probably perfect for what most of us do. Maybe check them out. There’s a sticky mega thread on them.

I’m probably going to buy a set in 285/75/16 once my Grabbers wear out.

will do. Yes, stock rims. Limited budget for 5100 and new tires only. More than enough for a mall crawler like me..

I put the Boss ATs, 265/75/16, B rated, on TRD wheels three weeks ago. No lift, no rubbing.

On the left is the Boss ATs, and Toyo Open Country AT3s, 265/70/17, C rated, on my 4Runner (also new). I wanted something different on each. So far I like both, quiet, and both three peak rated. MPG in the 4Runner is -1, and -2 in the Tacoma.

I just got a set MT Baja Boss 265 75 16 SL rated. I went from OEM wheels 16" +25 offset I think to Trail edition 16 +4mm offset, no rubbing at all, no snow or dirt kicked in mirrors (wheels do not extend beyond flare but cloe to edge). In the snow these were WAYY better than OEM. In fact I was planning on running a dedicated set of snow tires with my OEM wheels but I'm reconsidering that now. I highly recommend these tires over OEM.
