I too have been contemplating making the jump to the Mich LTX. Like many others I swapped in the 4Runner pro wheels and KO2s, my MPG instantly went down by 2. Given that I'm 90% on road, the LTX just make more sense but I don't want to lose my bro license.

Any more zoomed out shots of these tires on 3rd gens w/ 4Runner Pro wheels?

Yes, they look small on pics. In person they look well proportioned to the truck. These are 275/60R18's on 18x9 wheels. Have done several 3k mile round trips, while towing, in the last couple of months and they have performed very well.

Same result on my 88 4runner, 24mpg highway with the 22RE/5spd. Today I run Hankook Dynapro ATMs which are excellent too.

I agree. The pics make them look funny. Here is a pic I took at work. But like I said. You don't see how they look getting 2mpg better on the highway. :)

I had a set on my tundra and they are a really good all around tire. After the Goodyears are gone I'll more than Likely go with the Michelin.

Looking at going to these in a 255/70-17 (maybe even 255/75) on the 4Runner Pro wheels.

I am running 29psi front and rear. I have no wandering or steering issues that I can tell. Maybe a bad set for the person having issues? I would think alignment. Any other mods to suspension for the person that has wandering issues? Stock wheels?

I ran these same tires on my 99 Pre runner. Great tires! Good choice.

Some of the most hard-core wheeling I do in a year is at work. The company I work for sometimes services remote radio tower sites, only accessible by gnarly, rocky old logging roads, or newly cut Forest Service roads that become mud-bogs in the wet. The work truck I'm given to drive is a POS 2WD F350 (Aka "The guzzler") fitted with these Michelin tires. The tires are the best thing about the rig. They have never skipped a beat off-road. I think it's because the individual tread blocks are all siped multiple times. They go through hell without much love, and put up with a lot of tire spin due to the 2WD 1Ton struggling up the steep grades. These tires are not a joke.

Had these tires on my '10 DCSB. Very good tire and plan on installing on my '17 when the factory Firestones are done.

The OEM tires on my Limited are LTX M/S2. Is that the same as "Defender" or as plain old "M/S"?

Much more similar to Defender... M/S is old school. Still decent tires tho.

Yes, basically the same tire. Same tread design, just incorporated their EverTread or whatever to get more miles out of them from their previous "Defender" tire. This gives the Non-LT versions a 70K warranty.

Michelin LTX is not a tire:

    Michelin LTX A/T 2
Michelin LTX M/S 2 (now called LTX Defender).

    The LTX Defender IS the LTX M/S 2's replacement (i.e. M/S 3)

My Limited came with Michelin LTX MS2 tires. Good quality tire and I just put Michelin LTX Defenders on my wife's SUV. Pretty much the only tires I buy.. I've had them on my last 3 vehicles.

LTX was once a tire, but now they have more options

LTX stands for LightTruck/Crossover or LightTruckX
