I’m in the market for new wheels and I’m curious what everyone’s experience is with method wheels?

    What are their benefits?

And I’m still learning so what’s the difference between 16” and 17” wheels as far as their benefits and how do you measure to reflect the difference between the two?

I’ve ran Method wheels on 3/4 ton Rams and they were a nice wheel. If there weren’t so many options with different offsets for the Tacoma’s I would’ve picked up another set.

I run the NV’s and love them. Great looking wheel and ride nice. Even got custom TRD center caps for them.

Good wheels. I used to run the Method Double Standards. You have TRD Sport so you'll prob have run a 17" wheel. I dont think a 16" wheel will clear your brakes calipers.

They are the same brakes. The TRD Sport can run 16” wheels that the TRDORs can run.

Oh ok. I thought i read somewhere that the sport models had bigger brakes? Or is that on older tacomas?

I’m not as familiar with all the variations of first or second gen Tacomas. I know 4th gen 4runners had various brake sizes depending on the trim - so it’s possible.

Stock 3rd gen Tacomas are all the same.

I ran 17” Method NV 305’s for a few months and loved it. The quality and finish is outstanding and it is light and strong. Best part is that I got a ton of compliments on them.

Below is a pic of my 17”. 16” will fit fine but you’ll get more tire on a 16” than a 17” tire.

Where did you get those hub caps? Mine are chewed up so I'll either repaint or get something else. The ones you have look great!

I dig the Method NVs. My only complaints is that water gets trapped and pools at the bottom of the wheel between the fake bead lock and the wheel face. And let’s not even talk about the the huge center cap that comes with the wheel.

    I think you mean 29lbs...

If they were 24 I’d be getting a set!

Not a 3rd gen but I have 17x8.5" Method Standards and I really like them balance well haven't had issues with them getting bent or scratched that easily wheeling. I think their quality is top notch and you really get a good bang for the buck in price for the quality.
