Hey everyone! Currently needing help from the electrical wiz’s out there.
Quick summary, I installed Meso puddle lights and switch, they were working for a while till they didn’t, shortly after the panel lights went out as well.
Changed out the panel fuse and the dome fuse twice. currently both fuses aren’t burnt out however now Only the Dome lights aren’t working, panel lights are still good.

While trouble shooting, I found a short on 2 pins on the dome light connector in the A pillar to the fuse.(picture below)
I did some research around the forums and found out it may be the overhead PCB?

note: I’ve been talking to the guys at Meso to find a solution as well, thought I’d ask y’all as well!

Top Right circled in your picture is ground circuit of overhead circuits.
Bottom Left circled goes to nowhere, as in no circuit.

Thank you so much! I've been searching the internet for some sort of schematic do you by any chance have the wiring diagram as well?
    Also
Do you think I’ve possibly fried the circuit on the over head console? My vanity lights and cabin lights are not working as well.

Test power on pin 19, that is fused power to overhead lights. Test on connector side coming up to the overhead.

Once again TYSM for helping me out haha!
Connector side - over head, I’m getting continuity on 2 pins, one’s reading normal and the other rather high at 7.3ohms (picture below)
    Pin 19 - fuse, I’m getting no continuity :/

That photo is of the connector to the overhead console (R44). Test Power (not resistance) at IN1-pin 19, connector on prior picture.

The door open pins are a signal to the Body ECU to activate the ILE (PWM Ground) for the Map Lamps and Center Cabin illumination if the door switch is set at the overhead console and the Center Lamp.
Door Lock is the OFF signal to that circuit.
Door Unlock is the ON signal.
Opened Door(s) are also an ON/OFF signal.
Relay on PCB provides power "always". But a timer (20 min) cuts its action. Any input trigger resets timer.

yeah I’m not getting power to pin 19, I double checked on a friends Tacoma and he’s getting 12v, any possibility it’s just the relay?

Problem is, relay is not the easy removable type. It's a pcb relay.

Excellent, good thing you didn't have to "program" it in.

Did you need to match up model years or trim or options, anything like that? Or literally just removed from a random truck and plugged into yours and it worked?

I just matched it up for my year, PN 89221-04060, however I did see a PN 89221-04070 during my search. If you look it up it goes by a few names like junction box, cabin fuse, MPX Body Control Module.

If you do need to replace your junction box, you don’t need the black part attached to it, that’s the transponder for the designated key fob. It’s pretty simple to remove however I recommend looking up a manual on how to since there’s a trick to it.

I’m pretty sure my relay burnt out, but after replacing it, puddle lights including the switch and cabin lights work!

Good info. I don’t need to do anything with mine, I’m just always curious to hear how these things went as collective info for the future in case I ever need to do the same.
