I just install the meso v2 dual color map light. I can set it to red, but once I open the door it always resets back to white. Besides that everything works great.

I have seen this on the forum before, but haven’t seen an fix yet. Hoping someone knows what causes this.

I doubt it makes any difference, but I do have the v2 dual brightness (single color) dome lights installed as well.

The Meso map-light thread below just came alive a few minutes ago with a bunch of us just discovering the same issue from this new batch. Guessing we all got home from work and immediately tried to install them.

I'm optimistic. They seem to have a pretty responsive support system given the responses to the "double press" issue people were experiencing before. Time will tell.

I agree and think there will be solution to peoples frustration on this. I am surprised however MESO hasn’t replied on the forum to calm people down that there are working on a resolve because I have seen him tagged several times on different threads all surrounding this.

When I checked earlier he hadn’t made a post here since the 18th or so. I’m sure he’s playing damage control and trying to come up with a solid solution before facing the masses. I also think he’s probably assuming we are all frothing at the mouth over here lol

Meso’s Big Tail Light order arrived this week. They are going to be working long days this week to get those sent out because they are a few months late. I’m assuming this map light thing will take a backseat for the next couple of days, at least. I bet by Monday we hear from him or one of his employees. He’s busy so don’t get too impatient.

This is the way the new map lights were designed. It’s not an issue they are working exactly how Meso built them.

Then they should probably state on the product page that the red no longer persists through power on/off. Pretty big change...

To be fair, I'm going to keep mine - but I would pay to ship mine back and have them adjusted so they persist red.

EDIT: MESO contacted me to day and is working towards a resolution. Top notch customer service, as always.

I was just sharing what appears to be a legitimate reply of them claiming to not have knowledge of the issue to stir the pot.
There’s another screenshot from isnta, floating around here somewhere, of Meso claiming this batch will stay on the color selected, from prior to the lights being listed for sale.
I watched this entire thing unfold in real-time here and am certain they were caught by surprise, but I really don’t care as they function fine for my needs.
    Hence the pot stirring emoji.

Regardless of wether or not they made this functionality decision on purpose, if Meso knew the design change was going to cause them this much grief, I’m sure they would have updated the product description. People were going ham here in those first 48 hrs...

That's what I'm here for, the mods and the gear.
Over a year late, but I finally found my lights after losing them and got them installed. Just to find out this was an issue. Was there ever a fix for them?

Contact meso. They were sending out replacements, not sure if that’s still the case
