I live in New Orleans and I need a couple things done on my 2009 prerunner 2.7L. I tried changing the oil myself, but the placement of the filter (and the fact that the last person definitely tightened it on with a wrench) has made it impossible for me to get it off by myself. (Tips on doing that myself are also greatly appreciated but not my main concern.) I also have an issue with the airbag system which I'm assuming is electrical since I haven't gotten into a crash, but my untrained eye has not found any issues with wiring. Does anyone know of a good Tacoma mechanic in this area?

If you can make the trip to the Northshore, Jimmy Nelson is right up the road from me and specializes in Toyota and Honda.

Friend of mine took her camry to marks mid city auto repair for a new timing belt and water pump. She was happy with them and I believe brought their honda there as well.
Is it only the oil change and the airbag light issue?
I dont know where the 2.7 filter is but I would suggest an extension and a longer ratchet, for most vehicles my 15 inch ratchet is plenty but I've had to use my 24 inch ratchet a handful of times.
