Well, I have had a few PM's regarding lift, tire size, and tire brands which I am running so I figured I would help educate our community with some of my real life experiences.

First off, for clarity these are my opinions and what I have experienced. Each and every situation is different, every truck is built differently, every terrain/geography, we each wheel our trucks harder, etc. Point is, always do your homework and research before purchasing any major ticket item for your truck. I just hope this can add to your homework/research

To point out I am running Stock TRD wheels with LR UCAs, a 3in Icon lift with Dakar rear leaf springs. This is not my daily driver, but I do drive it very far and often for trips which end up around 3+ hours of Highway time per trip (run 70-80mph). I do not rub, and I have done no trimming whatsoever. I did remove the mud flaps. As far as MPGs the taller skinny tires nets me a great high speed RPM around 1900/2000 @ 60-65mph which on a recent trip to Colorado got me as high as 21mpg fully loaded (yes you read that correctly and it was hand calculated and taken into consideration for the larger tires). On an average trip of highway driving around 70+mph I get around 17-18 pretty constant. In the city I get about 16. ( I have never had an accident or ticket) yes you guessed it I don't drive fast or reckless... never going above 3500 rpms unless it kicks into passing gear which I rarely do.

Down to the good stuff that you have been waiting for :annoyed::
Pros: Very soft in any type of off-road terrain, clears mud out very great, grips rocks extremely well, airs down nicely around 18psi. Cheap for a full set (purchased mine at Pepkids with full warranty and a set of 5 for cheaper then I could get just 4 BFG MTs).
Cons::frusty: Well, where to start... Don't balance well (I religiously balance and rotate) yes you might argue the people working at your local Pepkids don't know what there doing, or that my alignment was off, but I am very picky on tires and do everything in my power to ensure proper timing of all of the above to ensure the most life out of each and every set. I had to actually take the first set of 2 front tires back and get them exchanged because they were warped from the factory and would never fully balance. They were great at exchanging and helping, but just something else that was a PIA. Another con is being that they are very soft they wear extremely fast. I have very close to 20k on them and they are just past 3/4 of the way worn :burnrubber:! They are very very very very very loud. Before you criticize this yes I have owned MTs in the past, and yes I knew that before purchasing them they would be loud, but thought maybe they would only be very loud... not very very very very very loud. To their credit I believe some of this was caused by the uneven wear as it happened to progressively get worse over time. Sidewalls also have been chipped/torn in multiple spots very easily, but I must say no issues whatsoever due to the thickness of the sidewall.

Summary: If you are on a budget and don't use them as a DD, then I would possibly consider them. Keep in mind that if you spend a few extra hundred on a set of BFG, Cooper, etc you may be able to get more mileage out of them and justify the higher cost (it would be an upfront cost, but if you can do it may be worth it). I personally don't regret getting them and had done my homework prior too this, even reading some of the same comments and feedback, but couldn't pass-up the deal I got on them. I just would never get them again. I will probably go back to BFG MT 255/85/16s for my next set.

I just hope this review can help at least one or even some of you in your decision that you may have, as I know money is hard earned for most of us. If anyone has additional questions feel free to drop me a PM or post to this. Would love to help anyone as much as I can. Thanks, Ryan
