Just had this done. Anyone else out there done something similar? Curious how other members did it.

I hired it out. Pretty labor intensive with removing the flares and wrapping the rockers. My last taco had so many rock chips on the lower part so I made it priority to get this on my new Pro :)

Imo I’d would have just done it in clear.

Yah I hear ya, I just wanted the two tone action. I like both black and white :) The b pillars have matte the hood has it on the PRO. This kind of balances it out while adding protection.

What material did they use? Just look for 3M?

I would of done clear also, but I have a orange truck. I think the black looks great on the white truck though.

According to my shop they said it was the same OEM material used on the b pillars. I looked at it close and its a perfect match!

I used something similar from Cabelas. About 15.00 per rollX2. Has held up great after a couple years of lots of off road driving. Cut to your own specs. Take your time , don't rush the job. I also prefer the two tone look. 20190910_113201.jpg

I think I will try it myself if there is a next time. Spent $800 on it! Most of the labor was removing and reinstalling the flares :(

That’s odd that they removed the flares for that. Could have done it without.

They said it would be a lot cleaner running the 3m under the flares. Also you might see a sliver of white where the 3m meets the flare so I just went with the recommendation. I'll get some more pics up today.
