Does anyone have any experiences with these tires? They're one of the few that are offered in a 255/85/16. I know mastercraft is a subsidiary of Cooper, much like nitto is to Toyo. I can pick these tires up for about $50 less each tire, so that price definitely has me interested

I run Mastercraft AXT on my 2 work trucks. 2015 Chevy Silverado and 2019 F-150.
I like 'em. On the Chevy I routinely get 50,000 miles and that's towing every day.
The F-150 only has just over 20,000 on it.

I run them in 255/85r16. Only have 5k miles on them, but I like them. Came from 265/75r16 Falken Wildpeak AT3w. On the highway cruising 65-70 mph I am getting 19-20 mpg and around town (LA traffic) I am getting 15-16 mpg, which is a 2-3 mpg increase from my smaller Falkens. There is a bit of a howl between 50-60 mph but it's definitely not unbearable and it's to be expected looking at the tread pattern. Off road they have been great in dirt and rocks, no mud or sand yet. I air them down to 18psi.

I have mastercraft courser LTRs in 265 70 17 and love them. My offroading, is light. Trails, boat ramps, rocky shores, muddy logging trails, things like that. I am very happy with how they perform.

Your truck looks awesome! What lift have you got in that? Any issues with rubbing once you as different wheels and a lift?

6112 front on 4th notch with 5160 rear and a wheeler's add-a-leaf. No rubbing issues because I have JBA UCAs and have the caster set to 3.7 degrees in the front pushing the wheel far enough forward to avoid rubbing the back of the front fender. I do have my mudflaps removed, so cannot speak to whether those would rub or not.

I run the CXT’s in 285/75r16 because I got them for a steal. Have been super pleased with them so far!

Are you still happy with these tires? How are they wearing?

Still enjoying mine. Rotated them twice now and have not noticed any wear abnormalities.

I have about 50,000 miles on a set of 265/75r16. Love this tire. It has been up and down pipelines, through fields, and down turn rows more than a few times. I probably will run another 10,000 then get another set in 285. I regularly tow and have 600lbs of camper shell and tools in this truck at all times.

I’m about to buy a set but I’m using stock steel wheel. I’m wondering if they’ll rub on the uca. Do u have any problems with rubbing? I’m not sure of the offset difference between your wheel and mine

I would think you'll be fine. I don't have any rub at all and I know that guys are running them with no problem on the stock OR wheels. Maybe compare the steel wheel offset to my beadlocks and the OR wheels...

What is the country of origin for these tires? I’ve heard they’re made in the us and I’ve also heard they’re made overseas.

ETA: I emailed he company 3-1-22 and as of that date the courser cxt in 255/80r17 is made in their FINDLAY OHIO plant!

Update#2 6-21-22. I inquired about availability of 255/80r17 courser cxt’s and was told theyve been discontinued for a few months.
