Fox 2.5 w/resi all around, rears tuned from accutune with their larger shock body (1.5"-3" lift), Icon delta joints, OME Dakar medium leaf's, wheelers super bumps, fab fours rear bumper. Lifted 3" in the front and about 2.5" in the rear on some Pro Comp La Paz 17x8.5 wrapped in 285/70 Pro Comp A/T Sport's. SOON TO COME: Lowering front about 1" New tires Rear diff lock Nfab RSP front bumper and some lights
Well, I am thoroughly enjoying the 6 speed on the streets but I'm curious to know if anyone else encounters this issue offroad? This has happened to me twice so far while hitting the trails at decent speeds and terrain gets a little rough it has actually knocked me out of 2nd gear into neutral. The easy solution would be to say just rest your hand on it, but I've heard that's not got for your syncros. Is this true? Or is there any other way to stop it from happening? Maybe new bushings for the shifter?

Resting your hand on the shifter can wear the shift fork inside the transmission. The fork is what moves the slider which engages the synchro/hub/gear.

This shows a 5th and reverse gear shifter fork in a 5 speed trans. Shifting to reverse has been blocked by 5th gear that moved.

That's good to know, I'll make sure not to do that lol

It's never popped out of gear on the streets or downshifts or anything only when the truck is being tossed around on rough terrain but I think that might be a solution for my problem as well. The seat and bushing are fairly cheap, I'll give it a shot
