I'm 6'3" tall, and the rear view mirror has always been so low it blocked my direct line of sight. I've been considering some aftermarket solutions, but on a whim I tried something stupid simple. I turned the rear-view mirror upside-down! It is now about 1.5" higher than it would go before, and now the only thing that gets in my line of site is the housing for the forward-looking sensors.

    A few down sides:
    1. The buttons are upside down and along the top, but at least they still work.
    2. The sensor for auto-dimming no longer has a clear view of outside, so it is always dimmed unless I turn it off.
    3. The compass is upside down (MN instead of NW). Holding down the power button turns off the compass, though, so that worked out.
So while I'm jealous of the 2020 model having seats that go down, at least this is a workable solution.

haha, fair point. I guess at the time it didn't seem like it'd bother me. Plus, I figured I could find a good seat adjustment. Mostly, I just fell in love with the truck and had to have it.

They make a riser for 2nd generations,so maybe they make one for your truck, word of caution on the risers though,a few guys have cracked/chipped their expensive windshied's using them .

    ...stuff
It does bend up at the mounting position. Be careful with it though. It is moveable but windshields can crack from cranking on it
