Is there a fuse for the check engine/ maintenance required light it comes up on the dash? My maintenance required light hasn't came on in over 6 months. I have to keep up with my oil change with my trip A meter. If there is a fuse can somebody please tell me where it's at so I can check them.

I know this but when I'm trying to tell you is it has not came on in 6 months. That's why I'm trying to find out if there is a fuse that may be blown out as to the reason why it has not come on in 6 months.

Maintenance required will blink at startup 4500 miles after it was last reset and be on solid 5000 miles after it was last reset, there is no dedicated fuse it goes by accumulated miles since it was reset.
The check engine light will only come on with the engine off or while running when a problem is detected.

    It’s mileage based only.
    Not time.
Change it every 6 months and forget the maint lamp. Just reset it when you do your oil change

I know all of this I was just asking was there a fuse for it. I know about the blinking I know about all of that. But it did not blink or do anything the last time I got the oil changed it did not come on at all but my trip A meter showed 5000 miles.

The led could be burnt out. There is not a fuse for that specific light. If the fuse was out the entire cluster would be too.

Instead of using the trip computer just change it at 5k mile intervals based on the odometer (95,000 - 100,000 - 105,000 - 110,000 etc.)

The maintenance required light also resets anytime you disconnect the battery so if you’ve unhooked it for any reason that effectively reset it back to zero miles.

If somebody reset it off time it would not come on. It has it’s own mileage counter. Nothing you can read or get to. Your trip meter has nothing to do with this.
    Does this help ?

Does it light up for a second when you first turn the key on? If it doesn't then the light bulb is not working, if it does then idk what's going on.

Don't think that's the case (at least not with my 2012). Last service I disconnected the batter to clean terminals and it was disconnected for a couple hours while I did other stuff. Still had to reset the service light when I hooked it back up.

Yes the light comes on when I put the key in the ignition but it just doesn't come on when it's time to get the oil changed. That's why when I reset it after I get the oil change I use the trip A meter to keep up with the miles that I drive in between oil changes

Weird. It I’m pretty sure it resets it on my 2010. I’ve been doing abunch of welding lately so disconnecting and reconnecting the battery. One time was right before a service based on my odometer and then I went another thousand miles without the light coming on when it should have.

I’ve never done it with the light actually on. maybe once the light is on it stays on?

Not sure then if your mileage is accurate there must be something wrong with the logic in the cluster.

As far as I know my battery hasn't been disconnected. Unless the Toyota dealership did it when they did my routine maintenance that's the only thing I can think of.

    OK.
Then, I will make this suggestion.
Get note book and at your next oil change write down the mileage and date and reset the lamp.
Run it for 5000 and use the book as a reference.
This will eliminate indicated trip mileage etc.
Take everything out of the equation..
Myself personally, I have not seen what your describing. I’ve had plenty say it didn’t come on.
    but, it did…..
I have seen speedo issues cause inaccurate trip reading which would could interfere with maint lamp.
You could in fact have and issue. Will need some detective work to eliminate things.
Make sure your trip counts down the reset lines when you do the procedure.
Let us know in 5000 miles..
