Will this 6-7 thousand dollar set up stand the test of time?
(this price is with shipping cost estimate)

If I'm going to drop this amount of money on improving my truck for future adventures and hauling I want to make sure I'm getting my money worth.

What is the maintenance required for a setup like this?

I use my suspension like its supposed to be used.
I am already bottoming out on my stock suspension with no load in the back on bumps. With only skids and sliders installed. Truck almost has 45,000 miles.

    ALOHA!

Everything breaks down in time and requires maintenance. A Ferrari requires more maintenance than a civic. Just because it’s 7k doesn’t mean it’s going to last longer than 600 bilstein.

Yes, shocks will need to be serviced every 15k give or take depending on how hard you offroad. (changing seals, fluid, and nitrogen).
Upper control arms will the uniballs replaced every 30k normally but depends on off road use as well.

The benefit to those kits is that as long as you maintain them, you will never have to replace the shocks as they tend to last quite some time.

If your looking for low maintenance, Bilstein and old man emu sell sealed units that do no require servicing but will eventually need replacing at a certain point

OP maintenance is what it comes down to

Are you needing the kit or wanting the kit ? 30k a year HWY probably don't need the kit

Crushing offroad trails multiple times a month, or more?

Edit: that being said it is a complete kit and wouldn't hesitate to get them from accutune or down south motorsports

A little bit of both. I can keep pushing my
Stock suspension to the end. While at the same time I will definitely use a kit like this. I am loaded full a lot with supplies for work and adventure. Weight handling is my biggest issue. Mahalo for the reply

I didn’t realize maintenance is this often. I put 15 k a year on the truck give or take. That will be changing with more adventures. Thanks for the info.

I hear ya ive been putting off an upgrade for suspension for too long. Also it completely depends on what you're doing for rebuilds. Ive heard very commonly 30k is good unless it is a dedicated trail rig.

I'd reach out to those 3 companies mentioned and talk to them about what you do. They can valve it for your custom setup ect and can help find a local (if you can't find yourself or ship to them) the shocks at X interval and see what they look like for a rebuild and help you decide on intervals

From what you say you might want to look at airbags instead of 8k suspension. If it is only weight that is the biggest concern.
