I've seen some instagram and facebook posts about this, but didn't see a relevant thread and didn't want to cross-polute the Harrop thread. Anyways, any thoughts on the Magnusun vs Harrop offerings? They look VERY similar, however Magnusun mentioned they will get CARB certification, which would be epic in my eyes. Pricey for sure, but pretty understandable if you think of the amount of R&D and hoops they have to jump through to get it certified.

Also, as the rep mentioned, that pulley is gigantic, so this thing could make a lot more power with a smaller pulley. Anyone have any idea of what these transmissions could take, power/torque wise? What about the manual trans?

The auto transmission will handle the extra 80hp no problem as long as your not hot lapping it at the drag strip in 90 degree heat.

Aisin rates the RC60F manual transmission at 331 ft lbs. That may be a bit conservative, we will find out. 6 lbs of boost should be right in that area.

Apparently you need a supercharger to leave your garage and get onto a road. :) Common, show us some SC in action. LOL. The video was so weak, my grandma change the channel.

My Taco already leaves like that. Show me two Tacos at the strip, side by side, one with, one without. Set, GO.

With that $6500ish price, you can probably say goodbye to any factory powertrain/ drivetrain warranties. When the dealer sees that mounted to the motor, they will blame it for as many issues as they can. I'm still tempted but still have a lot of miles left on my warranty. Time to flip that coin.

They better get it CARB legal.... considering they are based like 5 mi down the road from me here in So Cal....

    Also.... Fuck CARB..... hahaha

Really interested in what options they are using for actual tuning.

It’s a supercharger, it will fix the off the line for sure. My taco already does the power band at higher rpms, this should add the low end.

Is this a legit question? I’d bet with 33s a 4.88 would be pretty awesome.

They do make a 365 hp twin turbo V6 sporting 4.6 second 0-60 topping out at almost 170mph

Not that much R&D they only worked on it for a few months and shares like parts with other products.

The dufus in the vid is probably getting reamed by marketing for his performance. I bet his wife gave up after their wedding night.
