This looks like a sweet upgrade as my muffler is starting to develop a few rust holes.

Worried it might be a bit too obnoxious for my style. Magnaflows usually sound loud but refined.

The “very aggressive” is keeping me from pulling the trigger. Anyone have experience with this type of vroom vroom?

I have the Magnaflow Street Series kit and I like it (almost doubled in price since I bought mine), it's not too loud but I'd bet that off road one would be pretty obnoxious for a daily driver.

Want to keep the peace with the neighbours, and the wife has cautioned me against it lol. Its too bad cause Magnaflow has 20% off on their site.

    None... yet.
I have not, but I doubt you can go wrong with any Magnaflow setup.

I went with this - https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00503PRVO?ie=UTF8 - and have been very pleased. Pretty mild sounding through the first half of the gas but opens up progressively from there...

I'm always trying to wrap my head around these exhaust kits and the massive cost. any good exhaust shop can probably throw a better muffler under our trucks with a turn down, had something similar under my 1990 toyota paid $90 with a like 40 series flowmaster and a glasspack, seems pretty simple, i was collecting parts for doing my 09 Tacoma figured the same maybe a 36in long glass pack and a borla, or something

I bought an aFe Power exhaust system for my 4.0. Most systems have 2 1/2" tubing from the cat. aFe has 3". It gives a deeper sound and better flow. (I'm supercharged.) When I drive easy it's pretty quiet but it can sound off if I step on it. I like that it doesn't dominate the conversation and music when freeway driving. I can also tell how hard I'm stepping on it by the sound. I try to keep it quiet most of the time.

I got my aFe exhaust from Summit Racing.

I don't see the difference between this and cheaper MBRP.

    looks like a new design

as long as it doesn't drone on the highway. Which, if there's no resonator (with it, or added later), it probably will.

The aFe has 3" ss tubing. Most others use 2 1/2". Because of my supercharger I wanted as much flow as possible. I also listened to every sound bite possible before I bought. I have not had a droning problem. It gives me a deep tone, in the background most of the time unless I step on it.
