So I ordered a Magna flow direct fit catalytic converter (part #23882) for my 1995 Tacoma 3.4l V6 and it doesn't fit. The overall length is right but the flanges won't sit flush because there's nowhere for the protruding pipe coming out of the flanges on the downpipe and cat back to go. I've verified the part with my VIN and it's supposedly the right one. I measured the pipe coming out of the catalytic converter and it's 2.25". On the specifications of the catalytic converters it says the inlet diameter is 2.5". I attached some photos below. Could this be the issue? Any help or direction is appreciated. Thanks!

Looks like your gasket is not centered properly in the last photo.

Yeah it’s not centered, I bolted it together just for the photo. The main takeaway is that the two flange surfaces aren’t sitting flush against each other.

Well, I finally heard back from Magnaflow. The part number on the converter is correct but the diameter of the pipe that was welded on was wrong. It’s supposed to be 2.5” coming out of the converter on both sides. Going to return it and reorder. Hopefully this helps someone
