made myself a switch panel for aux lights

so i didnt like where the previous owner put the aux light switches. i kept having to take my eyes off the road to find em and just dont like the switches he used.



So i went to OTRATTW and ordered some switches to replace the two i have. then i cut some metal i had lying around the garage to fit the space i have under my CD player. i cut the holes using a dremel tool to fit the switches. then i bent back the sides so it will slide in and i can later take the dash out and bolt the switch panel in.



i had a couple of slips with the dremel wheel and dont like the marks on the switch panel, so im guna re-finish the panel, i just wanted to spray it for now. and yes i do plan on buying two more switches, i just havent figured out which two.

so what do you guys think? not bad for some garage-engineering and pretty much free.

 

I like it. Takes up that extra space with the single din. Very unique.

That looks very nice, and for a do it yourself, very impressive. I just got my 2013, and it has that big touch screen radio, which is okay, but I don't have a space like that to put to good use unfortunately. However, I really like the switches you used, and might get one for adding off road lighting down the line. Again, nice work, I like what you did.

Looks good. I'm stoked to find where you got those switches. I've seen them in pics and I'm still planning my install. I have the BAMF light bar with the LED extensions, but I want to use the SPOD as a master for everything.
