So I had my mom take my truck to get new tires on Tuesday and the guy changing the tires said that the lugs on the wheels "do not fit" and that the "wrong one is in the wheel" and that "it's dangerous."

I know there are the three seat types (conical, spheerical, mag) in a variety of nut types, and I'm hoping one of you can enlighten me as to what the "proper" and "OEM" lugs are supposed to be for this wheel type.

For reference, here's what the current lugs look like. Do any of you run with this wheel type? Are you able to take a pic of your lugs? For reference, this is what the Toyota Parts List shows for the wheels: 1 2 Mine doesn't match any of their configurations but I'm 99% sure I just have a simple mag seat type.

    Thanks in advance!

OEM Toyota wheels use Mag type lugs. They are the ones with the flat washers attached. The one pictured appears to be oem, so I'm not sure what the guy was talking about.

I run those wheels with the short shank Mag type lugs that you have .

No doubt well over 100,000 miles with no problems

The Toyota ones are the same style and size although a tad expensive at $6.00 each

I think I have at least 12 of those wheels

Was this person trying to sell your Mom a new set of lug nuts ??

What did they say was the correct style of lug nut ??
