Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with the Luckyman seat covers off Amazon. They are on sale right now for Prime Day for $199. Seems like a good deal. But, I don’t always trust the Amazon reviews. So, if you have them, are they worth it?

I installed them day 1 on my 22 TRDOR. Figured what the heck. They actually look pretty good and so far I like them. You have to really look to notice they are seat covers. Cheap enough to just toss em and buy another set if need be.

On the driver side, can the cover be tucked in behind the black plastic where the seat controls are located? Or, does it have to just lay over the top?

I thought they were crap and returned them less than a week after installing.

They looked good, but they barely cover the seat. After one 10 mile commute the driver's lower seat cover shifted so that you could start to see the uncovered fabric at the seam where seat bottom meets the back panel. I wound up having to pull and tug and adjust the covers every time I exited the vehicle. So they went back and I sprang for the PVC clazzios.

Here's luckyman:. Again, looks good and the only obvious giveaway is the ugly headrest (and the major shifting problem)

Compare it against the clazzio PVC:

Thank you! That was my concern. The bottom seat cover never really looked like it was attached very well in any of the pictures I’ve seen. I though maybe they just weren’t installed correctly, but now I wonder if that is just an issue with these covers. I looked into the Clazzio ones. More money of course. But, are they worth the extra $$?

Very much so. I got the cheap versions which were something like $100 more than the luckymans. The fastening system is much better, and there's more material wrapping into the seams (and other places that you don't see), but those are precisely the places where dirt accumulates.

So for that, it was worth the purchase.

Again, thank you! That was the information I was looking for. I’m sure the Luckyman covers are fine, and they’re certainly affordable. But, I will look more into the Clazzio covers.

I'll see how they are, if I experience negative fit like others I'll just return them

Well, it is Amazon, so returns are pretty easy.

Yea it tucks in fine. I just hadn't done it when I took the pics. Mine have shifted around at all. Like I said for the $$ so far so good enough.

I went with the Caltrend neophrene seats. Has them in my 2nd gen for 13 years and they were awesome.

I didn’t want the faux leather cause 110 degree humidity would sucks

No experience with those. I went with the rough country covers. Nice fit and they are neoprene.

Installed Clazzio’s today in the Tacoma. Added front heat also. Blk/blk/blk. took around two hours and really was not that bad of a job. Put everything in the Sun first. Didn’t help it was HOT as hell and I probably lost ten points sweeting.

Mine haven't shifted. I was also a little concerned about the faux leather and 100 degree heat and humidity (Florida) but it hasn't been an issue. I also tinted my truck with ceramic including the front windshield and it makes a huge difference.

I'll be curious to hear everyone else's experiences. Looks like maybe 1 in 15 Amazon reviews mention the scooching issue, so either we installed it wrong or we need to be better about not dragging our asses around the truck. :anonymous:

I will say that a big part of my problem was the little mounting disks that tuck behind the seat. I could not get those to sit tight. I tried adding spacers to take up the slack, which of course didn't do diddly squat. The one thing I didn't try, but should have, was to tie a length of paracord to each disk and wrap it under the seat to a cinch point towards the front. Kind of a warp-around strap like how the clazzios fasten. I bet that if I were smart enough to do that, I would have kept the covers.
