LSPV delete Correct Return lines?

    Multiple threads/vids researched
    Usually with different years/engine sizes/trannys

    are these the connection points for the ‘now unnecessary’ return lines??

    IIRC, your red circled in the second picture is for the front brake, it's not going to the rear.

    If you do the LSPV delete, add an in-line proportional valve and remove/obsolete the return line from the rear lspv.

    Portion valve and 3/8-24 male to 10mm x 1 adapter fittings ordered

    Looks like I got rear return correct
    Guess need location of front return line for my model confirmed

    Then remove entire return line.

    There is no return line. It get deleted web you delete the lspv and add the inline valve

    that's interesting^^^^
    too bad i threw $$ down on the P.valve
    at least shows return line tht needs to be removed

    my LSVP valve on opposite side of that diagram
    that is my major malfuction.......i cant find my exact truck's vid
    this are shot from a tundra vid where owner removed and capped the return line:

    of course my MC appears different

    assuming no more responses........i guess this is my plan........

    as the bottom line to the LSVP is a 'known' in this equation. (nobody has stated otherwise)

    im going to have to trace that line from LSVP and see where the line ends up

    I can take a picture of mine tomorrow morning, maybe that will help. It was actually a very straightforward job. Plus, now front and back are seperate systems, so that's a good thing too.

    Okay, here we go.... this is looking forward where all the LSPV stuff is deleted. Simply connect the soft line to the hard line, the one that was upper on the LSPV. Remove all the rest and toss it.PXL_20231229_181649615.jpg

    On to the front. I do not have any "before" pictures. The back hard line, closest to the brake booster, goes down to the frame rail and connects to the angle fitting, which then goes all the way back to the rear.PXL_20231229_180749125.jpg PXL_20231229_181016006.MP.jpg

    The front hard line goes from the master cylinder to a "T" fitting that is attached to the brake booster, the blue arrow shows from the "T" fitting to the master cylinder.
    The yellow arrow is the hard line from the "T" fitting to the passengers side front soft line.
    The red arrow is the hard line from the "T" fitting to the drivers side front soft line.
    You now have the front and back brakes seperated, and no LSPV.
    I did not put in a proportioning valve, and the brake seem to work just fine.

    Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
    You sure seem to be doing this the hard way

    I just capped the two lines at the front that went to the LSPV

    Ran a new line to the rear brake Tee from the Master Cylinder Had a Manual Valve to install maybe one of these days.

    about 10 years late by now I know how it drives so it is no longer needed

    thank you both for advice!!!

    and yes.....appears im making a mountain out of a molehill

    lemme digest this new info

    ANYTHING will be better than what im feeling.....think truck is stopping with front brakes only....bc of LSVP failure
    I.E. prior owner RR-d front pads and rear drums at same time 15months ago(paid a shop)
    when i was replacing front bearings....front pads had 30% pad material left!
    the rear drum pads had zero wear

    Clearly drums were doing nothing.
    In reality, something like 70% of your braking is done by the front.
    No reason to run a new hard line when you already have one available.

    Lance…..man I have never seen a front brake pad like the ones I found
    At 1st I thought wrong pads installed
    The front pads(both sides evenly worn)
    The top of the pads feathered out with a curve……like less than a mm thickness of the ‘shaving’ off the extreme top of both pads

    after research/advice here
    I’m convinced previous owner stopping the taco with 100% front bias
    I wish I didn’t delete those front pad pix b4 I replaced or would post

    I've seen some crazy brake stuff. I bet you are right though, the LSPV wasn't working all you had was front brakes.

    Nope, that was for reals. Used car my daughter bought, she brought it by after driving it for awhile and said the brakes were terrible. Well, yeah.... She knows better now.
