I have a 2nd Gen RC 5 lug that I want to lower just a little bit, and increase its road handling manners so that its fun for DD duty as well as an autocross if I feel inclined to be an idiot and not drive my Miata.

I saw that XII has a couple of kits, but I have not been able to reach them by email. Sounds like a small shop, so I am wondering if anyone has had direct experience with them or their kits. The rear composite springs seem to be made by Flex Form. Anyone have experience with those as far as handling, quality and load capacity? I still want to use the Tacoma to tow so I am not sure if other options are available (maybe 4x4 springs? pros and cons to them?).

Are there any alternatives in the 2" drop range that primarily focus on handling and performance? The DJM kit looks mostly like a cosmetic drop, and they dont even offer a more subtle option, only the 3/3-4" kit.

    Thanks

4x4 spring will lower the rear, but are much softer then the XR leaf springs. I have a 4x4 and have upgraded to the XR leaf springs. They have far less axle wrap than the 4x4.

XII Performance is a small shop. A two person company. They have a drop leaf-spring made from steel. Very nice according to reviews on XR-Underground.

The other "drop" would be the coilover kit from them, combined with the rear drop of composite or steel leaf springs.

They recently did a sway bar upgrade GB. However, I am not sure how many spares that they will have. Limited desires create limited products. :( Luckily I got in on it before I couldn't. Doesn't matter that I have to adapt them to the 4x4 frame of mine.

They still autox regularly, as well as track their truck on VIR.
