anyone know the best way to get the dimensions of coil springs and strut/shocks?

i have a 2011 rav4 and would like to lower it around 4 inches. i have read that the rav4 may be on a frame all it's own that isn't shared with any other model. i also know that from '06+ all suspension is the same.

h&r makes springs that lower it 1.4 front and 1.3 rear. they have close to the same spring rate as oem springs. this is barely noticeable and i'd like to increase spring rate. megan racing makes coilovers for it as well but i'd like to determine if there are any other options. i've read mixed reviews of many brands of coilovers under $1k that didn't last long or didn't ride well.

it seems to me that it would be ideal if springs, struts/shocks, or coilovers from other vehicles could be interchangeable with the rav4. custom shorter springs with higher spring rates and shorter struts/shocks could possibly be used if dimensions were known i'd imagine.

    thanks

www.rav4world.com should have the answers, that's where I go for all my rav4 questions.

yeah i'm on that forum as well. very few rav4 owners lower them so there isn't much info.

i know there are alot of people on tw that know way more about suspension in general than i do. so i figured it's worth a shot and i'd ask
