For OEM, the right size comes in a universal BJ kit (got mine from HF). For Moog, you may need to pick up a small pipe from a metal or pipe supply shop, or other metal fab type shop. You may also need to grind out the seam on the inside, but only about half inch from the ends. If you are in Socal area, you can borrow mine.

Thanks, Chuy. I will try the universal kit from HF.

I dug up my notes ... the ID of the cup to remove OEM BJ was 2 1/4". To remove the Moog I installed, I will need a 2 1/2" ID. These are max ID in order to grab enough of the BJ lip to press it out; otherwise, you hit the ball of the BJ (you might get more clearance by removing the rubber boot). Are you using a press or a large BJ C-clamp?

I was attempting to use a C clamp. I just spoke to a local metal fabricator who can sell me a 3" chuck of pipe that is 2-1/2" ID and 2-3/4" OD. I am hoping that will work as the replacement ball joint I purchased measures 2-1/2". The problem I ran into was that the pieces where either too small or too large and rolling up over the side of the LCA.

The powerbuilt kit should have what you need. I used it and worked fine.
