Trying to change the line that runs from my low pressure port to the evap coil. I pulled the glove box door off and it looks like it's going to be impossible to get to. Anyone ever done this, and have some tips to share maybe? I did a quick search but no luck.

How did that pipe get broken? It and the other pipe both connect to the expansion valve/evaporator.

You have no choice but to pull the evaporator.

Not that big a deal. Remove the glove box, a cross support and one duct, then the 4 screws/bolts that hold the thing in. There are some electrical connectors you need to remove as well.

YMMV a bit as one of my connections is that plastic snap clip. But, overall, it is basically the same I think.

I have no clue. Looks to me like someone cut it? My cousin had this truck before me. He said the AC Went out, my uncle tried to charge it for him, it didn’t work so they cut the AC belt off of it. After he gave the truck to me I went out the and bought a new belt and installed it , went to charge it, and found this surprise. Went ahead and bought new filter drier too. Guess I’ll go ahead and pull the expansion valve and clean it super well, and replace all the other necessary parts to fix the AC properly. Where is our filter drier located? I purchased a new one of those too but don’t think I noticed it under the hood. Thanks for the help

Doesn't look cut, more like put a clamp on and shove it in there.

Receiver/dryer should be on driver side behind the grill. You will need a new line, of course, as it is metal all the way to the exp. valve. It is recommended to NOT flush the valve, but replace it. You can get a Denso on RockAuto for under 20 IIRC.

Since you have it open anyway, you should probably clean and flush the evaporator. It has been open to atmosphere so long any oil left in it is probably bad and full of grit. And you may find some dirty/oily spots that indicate a leak, so, you may need to replace it as well.

When I went into mine, not expecting much, found critter nest residue and an indication of a leak. You may be luckier.
