I’m having an experience with Low range and I’m wondering if it’s typical or just due to the craziness off things right now. 2 months ago I ordered a suspension kit for my tacoma. They gave us multiple different ship dates due to waiting of some stuff to get shipped from ARB. When it did finally ship it came in 4 “packages”. We only got 3 Of those 4, one was one of my leaf springs. It was not in anything or wrapped in anything. Just the leaf springs with a sticker on it. Is this a normal way to ship leafs? It might be but I don’t know. Now we are waiting for the missing one. Seems UPS lost it. Low range won’t ship us a replacement so we are still waiting after two months. Anyone order from them and have similar or better experience? I am trying to give the benefit of the doubt but I need my truck back on the road. I don’t know if they are a vendor on here but if so maybe they will see this and help us out? Thanks!

Leaf springs are always shipped as bare with a sticker on it; most vendors post on their site that they're shipped in such a manner.

I've purchased plenty of things through Low Range and have always had great results. I expect this pandemic to be taking a toll on them (and everyone else) so don't hold it against them if things are coming in late.

I've ordered a few sets of leaf springs over the years and they always come shipped bare, if you're lucky they wrap the ends with cellophane and a zip tie through the bushings so they don't fall out (if they come with bushings). It's normal. Leaf springs are heavy and awkwardly shaped, not really any good way to package that unless you wanted it shipped on a palette for way more $$$

They get dirty, dinged and scratched up by road debris and stuff almost instantly when you start driving around so I don't really see the big deal as long as they UPS guy isn't literally tossing them off the truck

The 2 month wait for a suspension kit really sucks but with how things are right now, it's hard to expect much better. My biggest thing would be making sure they are communicating it with you, as long as they aren't ghosting you I would give them some slack

Interesting that Low Range doesn't include the disclaimer about the leaf pack being bare, but yeah it doesn't matter anyway as your leaf pack is completely exposed while being under your truck.

Here's the disclaimer I took from another vendor's site -

*Please note: Leaf springs are received from the manufacturer without packaging and are shipped to you without packaging. The paint finish may be scratched by the freight carriers during the shipping process. The leaf springs can be spray painted to cover any bare metal exposed during the shipping/handling process. It's best to wait until they are installed before you touch them up, as they may be scratched further during the installation process.

If my ~$900 Alcans shipped bare I certainly wouldn't expect more from anyone else lol

They did put little cardboard "sleeves" over the ends and wrapped them in cellophane but otherwise they weren't boxed up or anything.

Totally normal to ship leaf packs that way, I think LROR even says it on their site that's how they ship them. I think it's funny when I've seen people post about how their leaf springs came with some scratches on them. Those same folks would probably complain about there being some dirt on their new tires, too, lol.

As for the "lost" package, you need to get on UPS. LROR isn't going to do anything until UPS actually flags it as lost. What's the status of the tracking info on that 4th package?

Thanks everyone for the perspective. The current package shows it is at a shipping location for ups in California. I forget the name but when you google it it’s called the Bermuda Triangle of UPS. Not good. I understand where they are coming from and we will be as patient as we can but the issue is between them and ups NOT us and ups.
I figured TW way the leafs were shipped is normal. Wouldn’t be easy to package them but it also means they are going to be prone to getting lost. I’m not too concerned about how they look, gonna get messed up but they aren’t any help to me if I don’t have them to put on my truck. We will continue to work with them and see what happens. They only communicate with us when we call them and have been given a bunch of run around stories that I will spare this forum. Hopefully they find a resolution soon.

Shipment from Wheelers Offroad came wrapped in cardboard and cellophane. I definitely remember that since it took 10 minutes to unwrap all of that stuff from each leaf pack. It truly was overkill, they did a great job shipping them.
Hope you get get news from LROR/UPS very soon.

ARB springs drop shipped are just stickers and the edges wrapped in cardboard and cellophane.

My expectations if I had paid in full, is that the vendor(Lror) would be on the shipping company's ass(ups) to get their customer(you) the product that lror provides for that payment.
It's not, 'well we shipped em to ya, shipping company is on top of it' and wipe hands clean. At least that shouldn't be a successful business model. I'm really surprised they haven't sent another one out to you or something. I'd be piiiiiissed. 2 months and they don't offer a resolution???? Puh-lease

I know Summit Racing will send out cards saying when a drop ship has come into stock and has shipped. Usually by the time that happens the part has already arrived. Within a months time.

My UPS story from.earlier this year..I ordered some new boots for hiking. Followed the tracking and took possession of a box from the UPS guy. I looked at the box and thought it was kind of small. And the outside of the box said Fat Free Dressing. I looked closer and my tracking label was on top of the original label on the box. Some how my label came off and attached to the salad dressing. I didn't think the boot company would believe me so I called UPS. They went to work tracking down my boots. When any packages are undeliverable they go to a special location. Basically a lost and found. After a week they found my boots based on a physical description and a new label was attached and delivered. Try calling ups and report an undelivered/lost package and give a description of the contents.

That's fishy, I would have suspected the UPS guy switched labels or something to get your boots but I guess since they found them in lost and found it must have just been a freak accident.

My wife ordered sunglasses recently that UPS was supposed to deliver, the UPS truck drove right by our house when it was "out for delivery" then a short while later it showed that the package was delivered and accepted. Which was total BS, she never did get it and had to file a compliant to get another order shipped out. UPS person probably jacked it or sent it to the wrong address and it never got returned.

It was kind of fishy. My label was almost directly lined up on the dressings original label. And was smoothed down. No folded edges.

When I called UPS, the lady said shed call the truck and then call me back. She called either later that day or the next from a blocked phone number. I almost didn't answer it. She said she told the driver about my label problem and he was gonna swing by and grab the salad dressing. I said ok, and then she says, "they dont happen to be a gray pair of boots are they?" I saw said um yes actually they are.

So they obviously open the boxes at some point and look inside them. She said ok and said shell be in touch. I took a photo of the salad dressing box with my label and then gave it to the UPS guy. I got a call from her a few days later, same blocked phone number, said she was still working on finding the boots for me. I said ok. Few more days went by I got impatient and let the boot company know what happened. They said they were gonna ship me a new pair.

Later that same day, UPS lady calls for a 3rd time, says my boots were found and they are on the truck for delivery.

I called the boot company back and said cancel the replacement boots. They found mine.

    End of story.

Update time: Low range sucks. Their owners suck, their supervisors suck, their customer service employees are decent but stuck in a tough place. Low range has screwed us hard and now we are literally at the mercy of ups magically finding our missing leaf spring. They won’t communicate with us. They refuse to call us back so my wife had to call them everyday to get updates until it was clear the owners weren’t going to engage. Their supervisors won’t talk to us either. Leadership there is a joke. They are clowns. We had to open a dispute with our CC to try and get a portion of our money back. That idea was advised to us by one of low ranges employees because the owners are literally ignoring our situation. No one has the leaf spring in stock either and we won’t have a shot at one until late September from everyone we have asked. We need the springs due to the extra weight on our back end and may have to make some significant changes to our vacation plans coming up in early September.
I do not recommend buying from them, and I imagine I will never again. I doubt I ever see the leaf spring from them and will most likely have to bug an entire additional set to get the one I need and eat it on the extra spring. We are disappointed to say the least. Spend your money elsewhere. I’m wishing I would have spent the extra couple hundred to buy from their competitor. Would have been with every penny and then some.

So what then do you need to complete the lift? Another leaf spring pack?
What model and what info about the lift or spring set can you tell us, in case someone here can help you find whatever is needed.
