I'm looking for low profile sliders that are real (bolt to frame) but don't stick out past the rocker panels. Regular sliders are inconvenient on a daily driver. You have to jump over them to avoid getting your clothes dirty. While it was fun to watch my wife do this in heels, I removed the sliders. Haven't been able to find the replacement I'm looking for. Maybe doesn't exist?

Choose the regular "Tacoma Rock Sliders". These don't have the outside hoops, so it should be what you're looking for. Just a note---I can't vouch for this company, since I've never bought from them.

My buddy with a 2017 TRD OR has the RCI sliders @ 20 degree angle (regular, but you can change the degree). I must say this angle and these sliders are AWESOME! They really tuck in nice and stay close to the body. The 20 degree angle doesnt have the best "protection" as a flat or 5-10 degree angle, but for what your asking...IMO these will fit the bill perfectly! RCI products are awesome! I have all their skids, top notch!

Thanks, would you happen to have a pic of his truck with the 20 degree? Couldn't find any on the RCI site.

I'm looking into the other suggestions as well. Thanks guys.

These pics were taken right off RCI's website. I'll call my buddy and have him send me some pics of his rig, he's running 285/75 ko2's, 0 offset wheels with 4.5 BS so his wheels stick out just past flush from the fender flares and his sliders do not stick out past his tires on the front end...just a little at the back due to the kick out. I've been going back and forth on these from RCI or mobtown sliders....

Have a fab buddy that could shorten the legs and weld the plates that bolt to the frame back on?

I think you actually benefit from having sliders that stick 1" past the door. Reason being is you won't get door dents when you park next to careless idiots (or they park next to you) for this reason I went with the BAMF bolt-on sliders. They work great as steps and are bolted tightly to the frame. The coating is amazing and the build quality is hard to beat.

yes I realize they are more functional when they stick out. I had those and took them off. Still haven't seen what I have in mind.

You won’t find rock sliders that short, off the shelf, as they’re designed to keep rocks from hitting he body both from underneath and from the side.

Sure someone could make them custom though, I would recommend using them as rock sliders that short

If you’re concerned about the wife getting out in heels or getting out without getting dirty, buy running boards and don’t take your truck in the dirt.

U forgot about the slider shuffle/pivot option.
It may work if she has small feet

That’s not too bad. It’s a fab shop. Some shops are 10-12+ weeks. It’s quality handmade parts.

I have schrockworks on my 2nd gen, they don't seem to stick out as much as others, but do stick out far enough to provide good protection. You might check them out. Mine are very stout.

    Thanks buddy.

Here is a set I made for someone on here. They sit right under the pinch weld on the rocker panel since they wanted the same thing OP wants

That was 3.5-4 *months*, not weeks. I know small shops take time, but that's too long for me, and we all know how those lead time estimates tend to slip.

When I bought them it was 3 weeks. Well worth the wait. Grade 8 hardware and my short 5'1" wife loves them :D

3 weeks is much more reasonable.
