I ended up using some silicon rings (wedding band style) fitted over the stock knobs on my non-JBL unit. Works good for me and grippy!

I like them better than the RAV4 knobs - a little beefier and color coded. But, in the end it's just personal preference.

I did the guitar knobs. Not real Fender ones though. Lol. Like $1.99 each at a guitar store I visit. They needed a 3/4" long piece of vacuum hose to reach into the holes to grab the shafts and fit into the back of the knobs. Now I only use the volume and skip buttons on the steering wheel since looking the crooked "VOLUME" and "TONE" makes me feel a bit OCD. :anonymous:

Relentless Fab hybrid bumper, 2.5” Dobinsons IMS lift, RCI skids and sliders, block heater. Painted FJ Steelies. Was trying to keep it stock, now slowly building for the Wisconsin trails.
I did this as well. It's a good bang for the buck mod.

I tried the AJT knobs, didn’t love the look of the cement color on the HU. Probably would’ve kept them if I had went with black. Anyway I went with the ones linked below. I heard about them through another thread here a while back, I believe he’s a member but don’t know his name. Couldn’t be happier. They’re perfect and what the should’ve been from the factory. https://www.etsy.com/listing/122346...obs&ref=sr_gallery-1-4&organic_search_click=1

I too stumbled upon these and ordered them. Much better than stock and illuminate the same as stock. I Highly recommend them.

Do you guys know if the AJT knobs illuminate? I have a 2017 with the non-JBL HU. Thanks for any recommendations

Just ordered a set based on your link. They do seem high quality, and I like that they light up.

Had mine for about a year now. I have not accidentally called my son since I installed them.

13 was too big for the jbl one. Maybe none jbl has bigger knobs. Thank you for responding. Time to measure I guess!

I originally ordered 14 and had to return them. 13 is what fit my non-jbl unit.
