So my spark plug wires were hard to remove when I took them out to replace pugs and injectors, they are now loose and are easy to pull out and spin. I've been having problems and nothing seems to fix it, the next step is to take it to a new mechanic since my last one couldn't find a problem. Could the plug wires be bad and causing me so much pain?

Your truck is a '99, could be long overdo.

Why not just replace the wires when you did your plugs?

Takes like half an hour to an hour total to do and it's crazy easy.

Forgot to mention; use dual electrode plugs otherwise you'll be going through your single electrode much sooner.

I'd also recommend OEM wires. I recently helped a friend out who was experiencing a misfire. They had replaced their wires with parts store wires, and one of them ended up being bad after only a year or so. We swapped my old OEM wires on to confirm, and then they replaced theirs shortly thereafter.

maybe… please dont take offense to any of this because I am not there to point out the obvious. Some spark plugs have an adapter that screws onto the tip that the plug wire goes on. some spark plugs have a non removable adaptor, here is a good video explaining what I am talking about https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zCIE4_DubXo

it could be that you have a mismatched setup… I hope that it is that simple.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

In this case, the cost of OEM plug wires is 100% completely unnecessary.
