    Hey Folks,

Does anyone recognize this plug? It was dangling under the dash/lower column cover on the drivers side. Looks like a factory plug that worked it’s way loose

    Thank you in advance

OBD2 port? Under steering wheel and next to the door.

Looks like it plugs into OBD2 port.
It has a single wire coming off of it? Sketch. Trace it back. That ain’t oem

Yeah, I thought that same thing about it only having one wire.

That may be plugged into your OBD2 Connector...you got a GPS tracker on it

It’s the Russians! Most likely a tracker at the other end of the wire.

I have a Maestro in the car for an aftermarket head unit. Could it be for that? I just noticed it after I had my tires rotated and TPMS reset, perhaps they unplugged it and forgot to plug it back in?

I’m not familiar with maestro other than its function. Does your stereo work the same as it did prior to the rotation?
If it were me I’d trace it back and find out what it actually goes to

I will check. Stereo works the same, but I didn’t check the ‘tach’ on the vehicle page. Honestly I think the maestro concept is one of dumb. I set light and lock timers once and forget it. Would be good if we could do that with a dongle and tablet and not have a device permanently tying the head unit and car together.

I am not anxious to open the dash to trace it back to the maestro

My maestro has a plug like that and it stays plugged into the obd2 port.

Seconded on it being a Maestro OBDII plug.

Currently installing an aftermarket unit and the 2020-2023 instructions state not to use it for some reason.

Is there an option to use a Add-A-Fuse tap off the fuse holder? So the OBDII port +12 is always hot, but what does the Maestro need constant power for?

Confirmed with the installer that is what it was. Thanks you guys. I wonder why it says to not use on 20-23 models. Mine has worked flawless so far.

I can confirm that the plug is not required for my 2017. It gets the data connection from the back of the radio. I never installed that plug for my Kenwood DMX1057XR install with Maestro unit and have full vehicle interface that I should get.
