I'm posting this here because some of you may have some pretty cool ideas or suggestions.

Looking for some ideas for an epic birthday weekend for somebody who's turning 30 in Las Vegas.
These ideas are relatively pretty inexpensive but maybe a little out of the box. Pretty open to everything. We're staying on the strip in September.

If you've done anything memorable in the past or can help provide a brotha with some cool ideas post them up

    Thanks TW!

Strip club tour, pool party, beer pong at O’Shea’s, gambling in downtown. What are you looking to do and how much are you realistically willing to spend?

Cabana at a pool party is always a good choice. About 4 years ago we did the Bellagio pool which was awesome, but a couple years ago we did the pool at the Flamingo for my wife’s b-day and it was better.
Edit: if you’re single it’s worth noting, the Flamingo pool had a lot more young attractive ladies than the Bellagio. Lol

Thanks for the wise words @Styx586 @SoCal_Erik . We're staying at the MGM so pool shouldn't be an issue. We've done wet republic before and honestly its pretty boring.

I was looking at the Infiniti Wheel (the giant wheel behind Linq) for happy hour and maybe top golf?

Too golf is fun. I hear the linq wheel also has a bar inside each pod, so that would be cool. If you want some good southern chicken, check out a place on the strip across the street and just south of stratosphere. It’s a small blue building next to a motel. Great chicken and waffles for an amazing off the strip price.

    Edit: M&M Soul food

If you like good BBQ, near the convention center is Rollin' Smoke BBQ.

    Awesomely good.

I go there every time I'm in Vegas.

As far as a different party idea, you might think about having a party at one of the amusement parks.

Many of the casinos built a ton of roller coasters, ferris wheels, etc back when Vegas was trying to present itself as a "family" vacation destination and now they are mostly just sitting there unused.

Amazing that a city renowned for debauchery didn't quite catch on as a family destination (nothing like your kids picking up a flyer for prostitutes)

I know Circus Circus has the Adventuredome with coasters and such that you can rent for birthdays.

Man, fuck the strip. Everyone is professional at one thing: trying to shake you down, and it's not a fair exchange, it's separate people from their money as quickly as possible. Even more so for parties of guys.

I've had more fun Downtown on Freemont street. There's some pools down that way, some fun bars (Commonwealth, Gold Spike) and it brings in all types including locals. Oddfellows is kinda cool. Old Vegas is way cheaper and not as pretentious at all. On strip, Oshea's tavern is cool. That's the only place I like.

I don't know. I've been there too many times, dollar for dollar not the best spend on the strip. Your best memories aren't going to be the $35 for a drink in the club, they're going to be that bar you stumbled into or some other random experience. To sober up, hit up the Red Rock Park on Saturday or Sunday between pools and going out.

Old town is on the list, I enjoy gambling there.

I've played mucho beer pong at Osheys, cool spot for sure. Thanks for the recommendations @dal3_gribble

Drais has a rooftop pool. I was there the weekend it opened, celebrated my bday a few years back. Highly recommend if money is not a issue. Can get expensive

Yes! Incredibly good BBQ. It's owned by Rick Harrison of Pawn Stars. Get an extra rack of ribs to take back to your hotel room. There's only a few places that I have had REALLY good ribs and that's definitely 1 of them.

    Ditto on the pinball museum
    Ummm, naked city, duh
    @OneWheelPeel
The linq is pretty cool. You could book a whole cabin if you wanted and party in there.
Any cirque show will blow your mind, I suggest Ká or O. O is the original cirque water show and never ceases to amaze me.
Top golf is of course pretty awesome as well.
If you want to shop and/or good food, both Downtown Summerlin and Town Square can provide.
The Cromwell rooftop pool is by far one of my favorites.
Drai’s nightclub is poppin as well
    But Hakkasan at MGM
They’ve got Tiesto on Sep 14th and Lil Jon on the 20th
Book a VIP table in advance and party hard all night long. 30 deserves a little love, right! :spending:

    Totally forgot about utv tours
Honestly most to all of them are limited in what you can do
The dune buggy ones are a waste of money IMHO, too slow and no travel, it’s like riding in your own coffin
If you want something fun and somewhat fast
    http://www.lasvegasrazoradventures.com/
Not associated with them at all, just had a good experience. Ironically they don’t have Polaris razors anymore, they swapped all of them over to CanAm Mavericks X3’s, either 2 or 4 seaters.
They are tours so you do have to follow the leader but it’s still funner than the buggy’s.
    702 range is suggested

Red Rock is great to off-road. I think they have atv tours and jet skies in the red rock area.

Treasures is always fun to hit up late at night or super early morning hours (2-4am).
