Just purchased a 2017 Taco about a month ago, and I love it.

I am in sales in the underground utilities industry. I don't do a ton of hauling material, but occasionally run into needing to deliver pipe from 14' to 20' in length to my customers.

I am looking for a set of bed racks that would allow me to carry pipe above the truck. An ideal set would be able to slide in the factory installed tracks that came with the truck (I do not plan on leaving them in 100% of the time). Does anyone know of anything close to this in the market place?

I have the long bed model if that makes a difference in product availability. I appreciate any input!

Do you happen to be in Ga? I made this and just got a Thule rack for b-day. I may sell the one I made. It is made out of aluminum and the square tube is 1 1/2 inch thick wall. Held on by the track system.

I think custom one off is your likely result. Every industrial supplier I have known who had what you describe has been custom made.

What weight are you carrying? A better description of EXACTLY what the load is will help.

I often carry steel tube but I use a 16' flat deck car hauler with a removable rack. A light trailer with rack might be another solution for you. I carried up to 29' with my setup and was even with the end of the trailer. Here is two 29' sailboat masts pulled by my old Dodge.

Get a front hitch, and use two of those hitch mounted T racks that adjust to the same height as your roof rack (add a roof rack). Take them out when not using. Very easy, price shouldn't be too bad, but you will have a front hitch.
You can most likely use just the rear hitch T rack and roof rack for the front without a front hitch but the front hitch would be even more stable.
I've seen this many times used to carry sailboats masts (I used to work as a sailing coach and we travelled with our gear all over) I wish I had some pictures but I never had this setup on my own truck.
