I picked up this in the recent group buy:

It'll be going in underhood sometime next week. Not exactly the cheapest compressor option, but it'll be my third ARB compressor and I've never had one so much as hiccup on me through both locker and air up duties.

I would say 3 minutes? From 20 to 35 psi it's like 2 minutes or so. It's really not that long of a wait time. It works great and it's small and pretty affordable. Got it on Amazon for 49 bucks a few months back.

That's pretty good! My pos I have now takes like 15 per tire! It's a little cigarette lighter one.

Oh, wow. You should be able to do all tires including some cool down time between tires in 20 minutes or less. It's worth the money. Viair is a stand up company too

Does the VIAIR 85P Portable Air Compressor not reach all tires? Looking for something for the wife
but it would have to plug into the 12v, I don't want her to have to open the hook and hook-up to the battery
just to air up a tire.

You will probably need one of these also to reach all the tires. I would just buy the 85P first and if you cannot reach all tires buy the extension cord. I was originally looking at the 85P but I was concerned with blowing fuses in my truck so I went with the 88P. I can understand your situation though,

It might reach. You can read the reviews on Amazon and learn allot. One review I read a guy bought the hose extension for the 85P to reach all tires on his full size truck. Guess that worked for him but I like to be able to see the pressure gauge on the compressor. I won't rely on it by itself and I'll check with my Joes Racing tire pressure gauge.

Same here on seeing the gauge. I read the same in the reviews. I may just grab another cheap one
from wal-mart again for her - it reached every tire and was easy and convenient for her to use.

Over the years I have used many tire pumps. In the "old days" there was a unit that replaced one of the spark plugs and used engine compression to pump air. With fuel injection replacing carburetors that one no longer could be used without the threat of adding gasoline into the tires.

Cig Lighter plug-in compressor (Coleman) added 2 psi per minute, so 7.5 min. per tire (15 to 30 psi). A half hour is a little long to fill the four tires.

Master Flow Model 50 added 5 psi per minute, so 3 min. per tire (15 to 30 psi)
Harbor Freight General Pneumatic added 6 psi per minute, so 2.5 min. per tire (15 to 30 psi). Fuses melt as the wire gets real hot on this one.
