I'm looking for companies that make aluminum rear bumpers for a 3rd gen Tacoma. I'm trying to drop weight and living in the northeast I am fed up with the steel rusting. Yes I know it wont be as strong as steel and all the other drawbacks. Also in bare metal so I can get it painted. Powder coating in the northeast is useless always chips and flakes off

Check HookeRoad, I got my set from eBay. They fit well and look good.

Victory used to make front and rear bumpers in aluminum, but not anymore. I should have pulled the trigger back then. A google search suggests there are still some aluminum bumpers on the market.

    Here’s one:

    https://www.demello-offroad.com/aluminum-2016-2021-tacoma-bumpers

Side note: aluminum parts are not necessarily weaker than steel. Aluminum parts made with more material can equal the strength of a steel part. Compare an aluminum and steel bicycle frame. However, typical aluminum armor is 1/4” and steel armor is typically 3/16”. Depending on the alloys used, the steel armor is likely stronger. The biggest disadvantage of aluminum, IMHO, is the price.

+1. it also tends to fatigue differently, and has a different thermal expansion rate, but also accepts anodizing better as the surface opens up more during the process to retain the pigment.

personally, i don't think you'll save all that much in the overall truck weight getting an aluminum rear bumper-- maybe 50 pounds max once the thicker aluminum is used to combat the differing properties. and realistically, the trucks are very front-heavy, so saving weight in front would generally be more ideal, but the front plastic bumper is the best weight saver for that situation...

    Are your bumpers magnetic?

Your bumpers are not aluminum. Hooke Road makes cheap bumpers out of thin steel.

@eurowner asked if they're magnetic because ferrous metals (i.e. steel) allow magnets stick to them, while non-ferrous metals (i.e. aluminum) do not react to magnets.

Thev OP specifically ask about aluminum rear bumpers. Yours are steel.

To address the weight concerns, I build bumpers in NH and with this design I had a total weight gain of 6 lbs

I checked a few companies I know about and cant find any aluminum rear bumpers. I thought for sure Greenlane offroad would sense they build aluminum sliders, but they do not. I do not recommend aluminum sliders either.

I currently have an aluminum CBI front and steel CBI rear.
Current setup minus the new wheels.

I looked for a long time in 2022 for an aluminum rear bumper for my 2020 OR. After a few months of looking pretty hard online, came to the conclusion that nobody makes them. Anybody who did make them stopped. Don't know why, but I think that most likely they didn't stand up to use that they were put to.

I did find that coastal offroad makes a aluminium WIY kit.
